i think thats fair. everyone has done stupid stuff that they wish they could change but we have yet to figure out a way to change the past. he deserves the chance to get to play. (and if he does go to ut someone i know will prob have a party that he is staying in knoxville)

I know the back story and he was on campus today for the practice. Is he a good player that would fit our system. This is a basic question. Yes ......(explain) no ....(explain)

Yes, he is a good player that would fit our system. He needs to hit the weight room and add bulk, but most incoming freshman do. We need lineman badly and he would fit in well after a redshirt year. But...... Without the history he would have been a great fit in our recruiting class. Time will tell on this one.

Who says he even still has offers? I dont think the recruiting sites have updated his information on him because no one knows really what he is going to do. If he could sign somewhere big still he would have done it by now

He is not signing anywhere. That deadline has passed. I don't know that anything is "done", but I know there have been some outside of football meetings with him about school, admissions, etc.

I was one opposed to him getting a scholarship, but if he walks-on, earns his keep, and proves that he has changed and is a man, then I am all for his success.

There was a guy that just said the same thing on VQ. He said that Hood has been at practice every day and was there again today. He also said "I heard from a guy today that he has committed."

Aside from his personal life and past problems (which is all the seems to be discussed), how good of a football player is he? Would he be able to help out the next four years?

That video is purty impressive. He looks to be very athletic. If Kiffin can put 25 pounds on him, he should be a solid player. He definitely has the brains and the "high motor" to get it done at the college level...

This is what I know and have gathered. If everything goes according to plan, Daniel will be a preferred player and have first crack at a scholarship if he performs well in the classroom and on the field. There are people who say he is already in and others saying that there is still some work to do. I think he will be here in the summer as long as everyone involved signs off on it, and there hasn't been any reported snags. So TIFWIW, I believe Hood will be a Vol by summer and will walk-on.

The way I understand it, if everything goes the way it should he should be able to be put on scholarship next January. That's all I have been able to find out after reading and talking with people. They won't put him on scholarship for this season is my understanding of it all.
