Interesting, two linebackers coaches. Doesn't make much sense.

Alabama has ALWAYS had two linebacker coaches. Lance Thompson was their inside LB coach when he was there. There LB coach was Kevin Steele.

James Willis was the inside LB coach after Thompson and before Pruitt.

Just the way Satan rolls I guess.

You present some valid points. All I'm saying is I've seen this kid play on numerous times and he doesn't have one skill that is above average.

FWIW, his old coach and defensive coordinator at Hoover ,Jeremy Pruitt, is now the LB coach at Alabama and he didn't think enough to even recruit the guy.

As always GBO.

Very hard to argue that point. I am not enamered with Probst either.

I may be more concerned now that u have made that point...

Have you seen Bama's past three LB classes compared to ours?

Seen there last three defensive line classes as well but they still offered Brandon Ivory. I'm not a star gazer by any stretch of the imagination. Before you get into that about though...four words for you Sam Burnthall and Wesley Neighbors. My point? Neither they nor Propst have any business playing football in the SEC.

Now, you were saying...

Here is a good question for you stat freaks. How does Propsts measurables compare to Reveiz. I think Reveiz has proven himself worthy of playing in the SEC.

He'll occupy a roster spot as they do/did BUT we can ill afford to have such misses as you stated bc we haven't had the luxury of having Alabama's last three recruiting classes.

We're not going to turn Jeff Luc in three weeks. If it comes down to offering him or taking nobody, I have no problem taking him. It's not like our roster is even close to being at full capacity.

Bama had no DTs in this class before Ivory.

Saban recruits his front 4 very meticulously and does so probably better than any one is college football, O included. The reason they didn't offer any DT to this point was bc it wasn't/isn't a present need for them bc of the depth they've acquired over the years.

He can afford to take a flyer out of someone because of the depth there.

Front three, and yes I know that.

Really?

My point is this. Other than for depth purposes, it not impossible that he starts here one day but it is IMPROBABLE.

And, as Forrest Gump said, "That's all I gotta say about that".

I say 4 because anyone that watches or is familiar with Saban's defensive philosophies is well aware that while he bases out of the 3-4, he quite often has one of his linebackers, the jack position, put his hand down and line up as a 4-3 end would.

I don't think he would ever start here either. At this point, adding some depth is not a bad thing.

I really don't care either way.

LB and QB recruits are often not the top ranked guys out of HS. Sometimes they are but there is so much of a mental side to those positions that the ranking services miss on those spots more then other positions.

What!??!??! Oh my god.

Im rapidly losing faith in whatever the hell CDD is doing. This guys are back end fillers. In the SEC, they should be priority walk-ons.

Give me a break you guys, we've probably lost Williams, Jones, and Copeland. You expect to fill those spots with 5-stars? I mean I understand these guys aren't the creme of the crop, but come signing day do you really think we're not going to *have room* for Ambles, Stone, or Rogers?
