I take the opposite approach. I think Crump can develop better going up against UT guys every week, than to play live games on the JUCO levels. Call me skeptical, but I've seen too many JUCO guys never come close to living up to their hype.

I'd say Crump has the better chance! yeah i agree that stanley is ahead of crump! But Stanley got two years to play! Crump has four! Crump love the VOLS! Stanley loves condoms!!! I say go with the fouyr year guy! we have a good bit of talent right now with reviez,thompson,askew,frazier,hawkins,King,lathers,thornton,nelson,vereen!! so got talent but young talent! so go with the 4 year GUY!

Hmm, not sure if this would be overspeculating or what.. but this is Crump's Facebook status nearly an hour ago:

Raiques Crump GOT SUM BAD NEWS!!
50 minutes ago via Facebook for Android

Maybe he was told the Vols would not be accepting his commitment? Maybe he knows something about other recruits not picking Tennessee? Just throwing some theories out there, no inside info or anything. TIFWIW

It has been reported that despite reports, they never accepted his commitment. He is a contingency plan and Dooley has been up front with the guys who may not make it in.

His freaking dog could have died for all we know. I mean really guys. Stop reading into everything. Oh, and for the record, Alabama passed on him as well so if we decide to pass on him with our depth issues, the staff more than likely does not see him competing in the SEC. Not saying that I wouldnt like to have him but realistically how many are we going to sign guys?

If he in fact is not getting a scholarship offer, I hope we're not making a mistake. I know he's not highly rated, but his film looks better than the Propst (sp?) kid out of Hoover. Seems to have good speed and room to fill out. I just feel the Hoover kids have been living football from the time they were five, getting good coaching, and great facilities, and have accordingly largely maxed out their potential by the time they graduate high school.

He's an 18 year old kid with his next 4-5 years hanging in the balance and according to all reports, they are not guaranteed to be at UT, and you think this sort of thing coming out at this time could be...Please...

I don't care for his rating either but I am fully supportive of all who pledge for the Vols. Everyone here should feel this way in my opinion.

I am not saying I am not supportive. Hey, the more the Merrier IMO. If they want to be Vols and can play at the level we need them to to compete then I am all for it. I would like to have Crump. His footage looked great. All I am saying is people on here need to take a step back and stop reading into every little thing. ALOT of twists and turns can take place on Wednesday and chances are if Ralph Williams and Glen Stanley go elsewhere, Raiques Crump will get his offer from UT. Settle down and let things play out.

This one is not over guys. Crump said he'll likely sign late and that he may still get an offer from Tennessee. Depends on how things shake out on signing day.

No doubt. I would love to know the age of a lot of these posters. Especially the one's bashing potential recruits. I would bet money the majority of these are teenagers, because they are as emotional as some of these recruits. Should be an age limit to posting, such as a drinking age...bad things happen when underage people post...like angering players that read all of this stuff.
