If Williams does end up signing here, I don't think Crump is going to have a spot. We will just have to wait and see, I feel kind of bad for the kid though if it ends up working out that way. I think he has some potential, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Yeah I have often wondered the company we keep on this website myself. I love Tennessee Football recruiting but you would swear some of these people on here cannot sleep because of what an 18 year old kid decides. Give me a break. Twitter? Facebook? I mean come on guys. These kids are going to sign where they ultimately want to be. If they want to be at UNC more than UT, than more power to them. Know this; the kids that sign with UT tomorrow want to be here. Thats all I need to know. I want players that want to be at Tennessee. It is like Lance Thompson said, "You do not beg a player to come play for a school like Tennessee."

Looks like Crump has indeed received an offer from the staff.. Does this mean we missed or Thompson convinced Dooley that he wanted this kid?

well if they do have a spot for him then either we are losing someone like ralph williams, stanley, or somebody is not going to make the grade and is being moved to the sign and place category

I bet its Stanley!!! I think its a great trade!! 4 year guy instead of 2! I think has alot more upside to him!

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm pulling for him to get a scholly. I know I know nothing about evaluating talent, but I like his tape and you got to feel for the kid after going from incredible highs to incredible lows with the initial offer and then its retraction.

Crump is a Vol. Coach Thompson is VERY happy about this.

I think this is due to a lb going out west. I think this was expected. It is hard to have a great fallback option when you take a job with 2 weeks till signing day.

Glen Stanley might be a slightly better player, but I'll take Mr. Crump because he wants to be a Vol.

You can only get so far with players like him, you have to have talented players like Stanley as well. Looks like Crump is a RS project correct?

The only way Crump is a take is if Stanley and Ralph Williams both sign with USC and Ole Miss instead of UT. Stanley has been rumored to be a USC silent since Saturday night.

Crump still isn't guaranteed to be sent an LOI tomorrow. I'd say he will, but he would definitely be the odd man out for a spot in this class. Sapp is another possibility.

I'd say so, but if he wants to come to UT, then I say he'll put in the effort to improve.
