'10 AR RB Michael Dyer

I think I would actually have been more optimistic if he came to see us next week instead. I'd rather be his first visit after he committed to Auburn than to be his last visit before he commits to Auburn, which he has already said he will do Friday.

I take as a good sign that he is seriously interested in TN to move up his visit. He wants to see gameday before making his commitment. The type of atmosphere that is expected tonight may be enough to swing him.

My guess with him now commiting to the Barn on Friday is that this will be his only visit to UT. I could be wrong, but it looks like that he wants to look at UT before he commits. I think if UT can impress him this week he will not commit to the Barn. If he does commit to them I believe his recruiting is over.

Rumors are out there now, that the Barn wants him to take no more visits once he commits. But this might be a good sign for UT, since if true he really in interested in UT to give you guys a chance before commiting.

Doubt it, hes a long shot as it is. Its going to be damn hard to get any RBs to come in here with BB and Oku in front of them but they did it and still do at USC so nothing is impossible. I just think too many signs are pointing at Auburn for this one.

Oku has nothing to do with a RB coming in. He has barely gotten any PT and Bryce has been very good but he has been allowed to be amazing with Hardesty in front of him.

We have an obvious 2 back system and it should be no problem for us to get a very highly rated back who thinks he can see significant PT in his Freshman year and be the man by Sophomore or Junior year at the latest.

Oku won't have any more effect on that than Poole or Williams will.

Not sure if this was posted or not, but, DYER was here on a visit tonight.... I didn't think he was on the official visitors list. But I saw him, and told him to pick UT!! He had a UT head band on.

Not sure... Wasn't there very long. I saw James Green, talked to him, and he said he is going to qualify and will be an EE for UT, he said UT was still recruiting him.

That's great news, I know there have been questions about whether or not he would be here in January if at all. I've heard he shot up to 6'4", how tall do you think he is?

So are you saying Green commited to UT tonight??

Green committed to UT last year, he just didn't make it in academically. He's been at a prep school, and from the reports I've heard, is supposed to be here in January as an EE.

Not sure how tall... I'm 6'-2" and he was everybit my ht. I'd say 6'-3" or so...

Local station in B-ham saying Dyer will choose between Auburn and Tennessee tomorrow.... per Josh ward.

it is between the barn and us. Heard first hand that he was all Auburn before his visit, but unless he was absolutely blown away, he is Auburn. Being blown away is very possible tho. Been both places and UT has much more to offer.

This comes down to Gran vs. Taylor.... hmm interesting battle....

I dont have much hope for this kid, but in reality, who cares? We have Williams coming back next year to go along with Brown and Oku. Not to mention if Poole returns and I think he will. Position of least concern imo, although I do think Dyer is the real deal.
