'10 AR RB Michael Dyer

well i was reestablishing it for he people who obviously hadn't heard. there were at least 2 people on the last page talking about how they really wanted him or how we will get someone else instead.

We simply have not built the relationship with Dyer like Auburn has so far. This is mostly due to him never coming to Knoxville until last week. We just couldn't get him on campus earlier. If he woulda came back in the summer (like Luc did), things might look alot different...

But now he has been to campus and finally seen what UT and the coaches are all about. And there isn't anyone I'd rather have recruiting him than Orgeron. According to the Rivals guys, Orgeron is one of the top 3 or 4 candidates in the country for recruiter of the year right now. If he can pull JaWuan and Dyer, he probably will win it...

Saw this in the AJC:

Auburn lands ESPN’s No. 1 back in America, Michael Dyer
5:39 pm November 6, 2009, by Chip Towers

Michael Dyer, one of the top-ranked tailbacks in America, committed to Auburn on Friday.

Dyer (5-foot-8, 200), from Little Rock Christian in Little Rock, Ark., is considered the No. 1 running back in the country by ESPN, and No. 3 by Scout.com and Rivals.com. He chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida and Alabama.

The big question is how Dyer’s commitment will affect the nation’s otehr top-rated backs. Marcus Lattimore of Duncan, S.C., and Lache Seastrunk of Temple, Texas, ranked 1 and 2 by the other services, were also considering Auburn.

The general thought was that two backs of that ilk wouldn’t go to the same school. But Dyer insists there is a possibility that Lattimore could also end up on the Plains.

“The last few weeks, me and Marcus Lattimore have had conversations and sent texts back and forth trying to figure out what’s going on and to see if he’s going to go to Auburn or not,” Dyer told ESPN’s JC Shurburtt. “I told him it would be great for both of us to come out there and tag-team and run the ball. He seemed to be very respectful like he would fit into Auburn. I have been working on him to get him to commit there. He’s a nice guy and it would be pretty amazing to get him to commit to Auburn.”

Lattimore is also considering Georgia (along with South Carolina, North Carolina, Penn State and Florida State) but has long been considered a South Carolina lean

Anyone watching ESPNU tonight? Dyer has scored twice so far and Dakota made a nice catch. However, he fumbled on the goaline.

I am watching it now. Dyer and Mosely both look like good players. I wasn't expecting Mosely to be as good as he has looked. I would have loved to have had both of these guys. They are both going to be very good IMO....

He is a thicker and slower Barry Sanders.... That is still pretty good.....

I hope we land Mosely. The kid looks the part and he has a good motor. I haven't seen him come out. He has played WR, TE, FB, DE, LB and most special teams. I wasn't that excited about the kid but he is impressive....

Did anyone else like the comments from Harrison Mosely. Dakota's father.... They didn't interview him on the air but basically recaped what he said .....that UT was really in it for Dyer and they had an outstanding meeting with Kiffin during the visit last week. They said Dakota would probably announce at the UA game in Jan. It is between Aurburn and UT. But it seems like the father really went out of the way to mention UT. Especially with the Auburn love fest going on tonight from the ESPN U crew....

I really feel like we are going to have a good shot at landing both of these kids.

And after watching this game. Dakota Mosely is a hell of a football player. Package deal or not. Mike Dyer or not. I hope we get the kid. I don't care how many stars the kid has on rivals. He really plays smart and clearly has a understanding of how to play. He gives great effort and is really athletic for someone his size.

I don't really know how much of an infulence he has on Dyer. But I really think from the comments made tonight that his dad wants them to go to UT. I hope that happens....

Very good info...sorry I missed that interview. I agree, Dakota looked solid. The next few months should be interesting though.

2 min. left.... 33 carries , 232 yards, 5 td's - Dyer

Mosely completly dominated both sides of the ball. He is a stud.

Going to bed. Have to work in the morning.... I hope we can get these two...
