'10 AR RB Michael Dyer

Can't wait for him to come across the middle...Al Wilson will be waiting for him!

As expected... Auburn.

"I really like all of the coaches, the head coach (Gene Chizik) especially," Dyer told AuburnSports.com. "I like the atmosphere. It kind of reminds me of home. It's good to go somewhere that reminds you of home."

Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn also played a big part in Dyer choosing the Tigers.

"Coach Malzahn is a really good coach and I respect his offense a lot. I know he would do really good things," Dyer said. "People promise good things, but I have a great idea that he would do the things that he says he will."

I agree with the majority on this thread.

Today's commitment isn't going to mean anything once Late-January early February rolls around. This guys recruitment will be a circus during that time.

Yes he commited to Aubrun but this one is far from over. Tennessee is still in the back of his mind. If we dont land anyone on our board in front of him dont be suprised if we make a real hard push for him close to NSD.

Talking about his decision to play for the Tigers, he noted that the good relationships between the coaching staff and players impressed him and reminded him of his high school team.
Mosley did not announce yet.

Ya know I've gotta say...only recently have I started to pay attention to recruiting as rabidly as I am now (though still pails in comparison to some) but its a bit ridiculous to have a press conference this "early" in the recruiting season...I guess that's the nature of the beast now.

Gus Malzahn isnt all that, not to me anyway. I dont even know why Auburn hired the man. There is a lot better ocs around than him. He will stay at AU until Chiz fires the man and when we have a bad season he will. What team on gods green earth would hire Malzahn as a head coach. ugh. Michael Dyer didnt come to AU just becuz of Malzahn. He feels home there. Theres a reason all our athletes make that statement. GL in your recruiting the rest of the way

It amazes me that anyone would want to go to play at Auburn...I've been there and there is absolutely nothing appealing about the place....Unless you like lots and lots of fields and open area...Some people do I guess...I just don't get it.

Ok, so the kid commits to Auburn. Like many of you, I realize this is far from over as we've seen time and time again with this staff. HOWEVER, will we have room for him and Mosley come signing day? IMO we will have several OLinemen by then and Mosley may not look so good. I'm not sure how long the door stays open for both of them to walk through. I think we would make room for Dyer at the last minute, but I'm not sure we have room for his buddy.

So how long does the door stay open for both of them, and what are the chances we get him at the last minute without Mosley?

I still don't think we really NEED to sign any RBs in this class. We will have 4 very good backs when next season comes around. Williams will be a RS freshman next fall, and he was tearing it up during spring practice.

If Dyer wants to change his mind at some point he could be on the outside looking in especially if we're only taking one more RB.
