10 Best Knoxville Dining Experiences.

I haven't been in awhile, but the steak at Baker Peters Jazz Club used to be really good. The steak tartar was always good there also.

(and yes, i ate at peerless when they first opened many years ago, and have never understood how they are still alive and kicking.)

Ye olde not so much. Save the cash and go copper cellar. RC has terrible service.

I request the same waiter everytime I go to ruths chris, and the service is always phenomenal.

You might be the first person I've heard that doesn't like ye olde. Its not the best steak I've ever had, but its very solid and I really enjoy the dining experience.

Without a doubt one of the worst chain steak houses ever.

Pretty sure its not a chain...started in Johnson City in the 50's I think and just came to Knoxville a few years ago. I can say I have never been to the one in Knoxville but the one in JC is pretty decent

As far as the chain goes, if there is more than one, I consider it a chain. I never visited the one in JC but the one in west Knox is horrid.

Ye Olde is overpriced and i can cook a steak at home that is just as tasty. I grew up 5 miles from there and since it "burned down" it has gone way downhill.

Maybe. It's been a few years since I've been

By all means don't let me spoil it for you. Go back and see what you think. And try copper cellar the next time and see what you think. I am going to muss Patrick Sullivans the most

I've never had a steak at Copper Cellar. I've tried just about everything else on their menu except that.

I don't typically like to order steaks when I go out, because most are exactly what you said... overpriced and taste just as good as when I make one at home. So when I eat one, it better be good. I'll have to try Copper Cellar.

Just out of curiosity, do you do prime rib or another cut?

Well, try the prime at cellar and sit downstairs for better atmosphere

One of the best filets I've had in Knoxville was at Carrabba's. Ruth's Chris is good, Fleming's is good, but other than that I don't order steak.

I was really bummed out when I tried to go there before the Cincinnati game.

Prime rib is good and so are the filets. CC is about the only place we'll go for steaks in Knoxville. We have our family dinner every Christmas at the one in West Hills.

The one out west has an awesome Sunday brunch as well. Go hungry, cause it ain't cheap

I was just thinking about good steaks and unique experiences and thooght of The Peddler. Only problem is that its in Gatlinburg but its really good steak if you can make it past the tourist trap that is Pigeon Forge.

For a pure "steakhouse style" filet, Ruth's Chris is tough to beat. They have it down, and you know what you are getting. Pricey? Yes.

Eh, I'm over the allure of a filet, although there is a great filet at some restaurant in Nashville (Cool Springs) that does a Coffee smoked/rubbed filet that was awesome.

I'm now hardcore into Ribeyes from Ruth's Chris...

I've gone more strip myself now. Need to try Flemmings

it's really hard to beat a filet, if it's done right...
