The defense was expected to drop off dramatically and didn't appear to do so. The offense executed more crisply than it has in years (even against crappy opponents). All of Jon Crompton's passes were accurate. Honestly, I don't think it's much of an exaggeration to say UT of 2009 can execute on offense better against a crappy opponent than UT of 2008 could do against air. There is plenty of reason to be excited for UT fans.

I'm not mad at you guys for feeling good about yourselves, it doesn't bother me. If the roles were reversed I'd probably feel the same. I'm gonna wait until after next week before I say anything about UT either way.

UT fans around here seem to hate UF fans, I have no issue with your guys. The only teams I hate are UM and FSU.

I am pissed if we lose Uko and Powell.

Chandler and Quarles are still possibilities for us and so is Ego Ferguson (we have lots of connections to Hargrave) but I am not happy to lose some of these CA guys.

Riley is definitely ours and I think we get Shirley as well.

It's always tough for a team across the country to land a Cali player that the Trojans want.

We can't lose what we never had. We will get players and if it isn't Powell, then it will be someone else who will play at a high level at UT. There's no reason to get stressed about anything to do with our recruiting. These guys are the best around. The only thing to get stressed about is QB.

I think what speaks volumes on Powell is that he spent his own money and flew out to UF twice this summer that is what leads me to believe that it is UF vs. USC for him. I do not believe he has used his own money to fly out to any other school but I could be wrong. Also I really don't understand why y'all are getting worked up about losing kids from Cali, it is always hard to get them to come east no matter how good you are.

Also I am an admitted GATOR FAN but this Mos Def guy is annoying the crap out me, I don't know how y'all can take it.

Gator would love your thoughts on the depth chart at UF and where a true freshman could see playing time.

I think you would agree with me that Bama and UF have deeper talent than UT and therefore at lots of positions it will be tough for a true freshman to get any playing time. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Without a doubt, it's a battle between UF and USC. Mos Def is just saying that UF is definitely getting him which isn't the case at all...
