Hubbs still believes he is going to USC. He thinks the distance is the biggest factor so that his family can make the games. They are 20 minutes from the USC campus.

Do you think Tennessee would lose a guy 20 minutes away from UT?

Also, he thinks the Myspace message is just to keep people guessing and add something to the announcement but nothing to buy into.

Hubbs also said his announcement got moved because ESPN had to much going today to fit him in.

i say he goes to USC and then never plays. I say we go after brunnetti like a damn heat sinking missle. he grew up a UT fan....i mean come on....the only thing im not liking about our couches is their burning of bridges.....hell we should have taken boyd....that probably pissed off that school dumping him like that instead of giving him a chance to play and maybe not starting...i love brunnetti's build and the cut of his gibb....i think he will sign with us bc they will wake up and go after him like they should have in the beggining. might give us a better chance at malone 2....

He is apparently announcing at 3:00, not 3:30 on Thursday. Regardless, Meyer's time slot appears to be from 11:30-12:30 on Thursday.

I listed to the same interview...just a couple of more pieces of info I thought were worth sharing:

Hubbs said he doesn't feel any confidence around the program that Scroggins will announce for UT. Scroggins' Dad told him point blank that the family didn't have enough $ to be going around the country for football games.

95% of the credit for Matt Cassel should be given to Josh McDaniels...that is the guy that took him under his wing and groomed him into what he was last year. Studying under Brady helped as well. USC was only good for the recommendation from Carrol to his buddy.

I am still not a believer in Cassel...not too many guys would fail in that Pats O

That maybe be true, but it's still something (along with the 4 qbs in the league, 2 starting, another soon to be starting and the 4th may start in the next few years) the trojans are going to advertise the hell out of to new recruits

It would be a situation where USC stays in it until the end. It's like having 2 REALLY hot chicks and one being across the country, and mostly because of needs though you get with the chick 20 minutes away.

I don't think Tennessee should take a QB they don't want. If they don't get Scroggins they should wait until fall and hopefully their play on the field will allow them to recruit a guy they want.

If they go out and win 7 or more games and show signs of improvement than they might be able to get one of the Notre Dame commits or someone else they actually want.

Otherwise, I would wait for the 2011 class to find a QB instead of signing a warm body to hold a clipboard for 4 years.

Jesse's dad is a selfish person. I mean if Jesse doesn't want to come here then fine, but if his dad is pressuring him into coming to USC then thats pathetic. For God sake let your son make up his own mind this is for his future not his dad. Im tired of these parents ruining their kids lives. If Jesse goes to USC or Florida he will not play for many years to come and at UT he would start from day one. Its a no brainer!
