It is amazing at some of the people suddenly turning on Scroggins now. He is young...let him make his mistakes and wish him well. Trashing him just makes you sound like a 3 year old that is upset cause his bigger brother got more ice cream.

Man... This place is turning on the guy who was their savior.

There is a whole season of football to be played. Some senior will emerge and commit to UT. Doesn't help with recruiting this season though...

"if you aint a vol, youre nuttin'."

nothing else need be said.

lulz @ all the hard feelings.

Take a deep breath. Stand up. Walk away from the monitor. Go smoke.

This is a lifesaver to some. If this drug out for 3 more hours, 2% of VN would've been fired.

Why is everyone turning on him.

Are you trying to pretend that you don't want him?

Stop pretending and congratulate the young man for making a tough decision, and wish him luck in the future.

im not going to wish Scroggins the worst of luck. but i wont wish him the best of luck either. point in case: he is not a vol. he will never clad the orange and white or the power T. he will never be associated with the likes of Manning. he will never run through the T, celebrate to Rocky Top, take part in the Vol walk, or play in front of 100,000 fans, clad in orange screeming his name playing in the best conference in the country.

he was given an oppurtunity so few earn. he was given an oppurtunity many would give the world for. no, UT is not what it once was, but no matter how far we have fallen, there are teams out there that sincerely fear the rise of UT again. Scroggins had the chance to be a part of that, to make it happen.

if he does well at SC then thats fantastic for him and his family and all his dreams will have come true. i personally, owe him nothing.

I ain't trying to trash the kid. I understand that if he chooses SC, he has some good reasons to do so. I wish him luck. But I am realistic in saying that I doubt he gets to play. The QB class is supposed to be stronger this coming year, and I'm sure that SC will get one out of that one as well. I just don't think it's the best decision for his career to go to SC. I don't see him becoming an NFL player there, because he's going to need several years of playing time before he can get there. The other guys are all heralded quarterbacks, and I don't see J-Scroggs being that. But like I have said before, we'll see.

Or committ suicide! We are going to be fine. We will find a QB in 2010. Don't trash the kid for his decision...it's close to home and we're rebuilding. It's not like we lost the battle to the College of the Blind! USC is a good program and has had more success than we have in the last 5+ yrs.

Good luck to him and it's back to the drawing board!

GO VOLS!

Good luck to the kid. He's staying home so his folks can watch him play. The fact that we were competing in USC's backyard says something.

i wish the kid luck. but i will be curious to see how the next 4-5 years pan out for him at usc.

he could have come to ut and been a four year starter, now he's going to usc and will be lucky to ever start a game. it's my opinion that another matt cassell happening is slim to known.

oh well, move on and hope we can get someone who can run the offense.

So what did your "source" say?

I still think he is a Vol...it just makes sense...I do not care what the reports are saying..I will watch the press conference for myself...rumors are rumors people..he said she said crap... no way a real athlete wants to ride the pine at usc when he will be playing on the hill..logic is logic..hell I could even figure those things out when I was 17-18
