No one knows this kid, or what he's thinking. We don't hang around his school, watch his games, or interact with him on a daily basis. Whatever emotions you feel, should probably be directed towards a mirror, along with the sudden realization you were a contribuiting factor to an 11,000 post thread on an internet forum. He didn't disappoint you. You disappointed yourself. I can honestly say if I were a top recruit, and TN's QB situation was loaded, I would still go. Let it go. There will be a QB. We have football to play this year.

first off, i dont NOT want him to flop at USC. but i refuse to wish and hope that he does well wherever he goes. why do i want him to perform well for another team? i do not.

speaking as a duke fan, um, they havent been doing so hot latley. and they just lost Henderson and Williams. ouch. they are good but no longer great. UNC is the Florida of the ACC right now...

It wouldn't push Rettig further away. If this staff hadn't wasted so much time on someone that knew all along that he was going to USC, Rettig would be a Vol at this moment. Assuming that Scroggins up a Trojan.... he wasted everyones time because he knew he was going to USC all along. Seriously though, Ambles is the one player that surely won't come now. Stone probably either. I believe Milton is the only one we can land but I doubt even wants to play for Stephens, Lamaison or Rozier.

Since when did Hooker's word become gospel around here? We really think Hooker, of all people, is the one with the source to break the news of Scroggins' announcement? I'll wait 'til 3.

So then I guess his myspace page was just him toying. Haha. I'm over him now but it would be hilarious if he leaked him to USC and then commited to someone else haha.

I don't believe it is when you're a four star recruit and your goal is to play in the NFL. If he was told he'd be drafted in the second round after his junior year... he isn't sticking around to graduate. Also, if you've seen the comments posted on here from his myspace... I don't believe academics played a part in what school he chose. Some of the stuff was unreadable.

Guys he made his choice and it was his and his family's choice. Just because we aren't getting Jesse doesn't make him any less of a player. He made the choice he was comfortable making. We shouldn't bash him for that. I would love to seen him in orange. Many of us would have done the same thing if we was his age and came to UT regardless of what was going on around us.

We have lost QB recruits be for and been just fine. Tim Couch, Brian Brohm, Josh Nunes, Jimmy Clausen, and others. We will be just fine after this one too.
