No, you others know in the back of your mind that even though everything seems to be pointing to USC (and it does, from WHAT WE KNOW or HAVE HEARD), that we have a head coach that has surprised us before, and that this is a scenario that has changed and blown up and became a monster in itsself, and we know that Kiffin loves to blow stuff up and make things monsters, but you just keep checking on here, not to tell us he's USC, but because you keep hoping that someone is going to post something on here that says maybe he's NOT USC, and that maybe he IS coming here.

Face it. If he was 101% USC, you wouldn't be coming back here saying that he was and that we should give up. But the fact is, until 3 o clock, when he puts on that hat, he's NOT 100% USC, and he won't be until February of next year.
So I'm going to hold on to hope, and I"m going to keep thinking that maybe it's a ploy and that maybe he will wise up and pick Tennessee, and hope that a few of us, even though we don't know anything on the inside, had enough faith in our university and our coaching staff to say "I told you so."

So are you saying that they are going to destroy the footage that was shot yesterday and have the entire crew come back today and re film it with a different ending?

I know who Hooker's source is. It is someone at Elite 11, and as the SC fan said he told the coaches Monday. If the source is wrong I'll gladly post that I am wrong, however as I said the recruitment is far from over.

It sucks to lose a recruit that would have helped you as much as JS would have helped us - people usually post about how much it sucks for a while after they lose that kind of recruit. So, that's reason number 1. Reason number 2 is that after recognizing that the sky isn't falling, it gives some of us a chance to laugh at some of the more delusional posters among us who were selling JS commiting to UT like Billy Mays selling OxyClean.

Heck, I'm even getting a chuckle in at myself that I let myself get worried over the last month that Meyer was going to pull him away from USC, even though my head kept telling me that USC was where the safe bet was.

Boyd was let go long before any of the big skill position guys committed (Nuke, BB, etc.)

That is total BS. We definitely wanted JS. Did you not watch his recent videos? Kid has unreal talent. The other recruits were just a plus. Most of us believed he could be the best QB out there. But oh well. Like I said earlier, Good luck Jesse, too bad you wont ever know the UT experience.

Bein' honest. This isn't exactly the place to tell people how to act and live their life. Remember the Sixers game and Browns game where the fans covered their own field with garbage? I know this kid is 17 but I think a few people not wishing him luck is a little more civil than trashing your own stadium and hurling bottles at opposing players. It's sports though and yes, some people do get emotional. Did you see the pictures and riots in Los Angeles after the Lakers won the championship... on the road. Those people trashed their own city for winning a championship. Some people are that crazy for sports.

I will agree with you that it shouldn't make it okay and that we should have more respect for a kids decision. I've never wished anything bad upon him. I just haven't wish anything good for him either. Could be worse.

That I do agree with and when Barkley burns his redshirt, it will be easier for jesse to sign. If by chance, Matt were to redshirt, then I also agree that it would start all over again.

In what I have seen and know, I would not be surprised to see Matt burn his redshirt in the San Jose game

yeah i also beleive he was one of the best quarterbacks im pretty sure most of us would rather have a great quarterback like js was instead of getting a qb for recruits lol thats stupid even though we also need offensive recruits thats true but js seems like one of the best qbs out there. i dont want a sucky qb either and js was the last good one
