Part of me wouldn't mind seeing Scroggins have a change of heart, but for the most part, I'd prefer he just stay right where he is and realize with every passing game how much heavier that clipboard seems to get at USC.
Sweet justice seeing him watch Barkley getting all the accolades and treated like a Rock Star while he gets more and more acquainted with the benches at USC. 3 long years hiding in the shadows...and watching 3 classes of highly rated QB's keep coming in. How sweet it is.
I think it's very telling of scroggins as a competitor that he is willing to sit on the bench and wait for years to play. If he is content with that, he doesn't have the mentality of a qb that I, personally, would like to see under center at UT. I also think it may raise a few questions about his confidence in his own abilities as a quarterback. Not saying he sucks or anything, but he may have some doubts about his ability to compete at this level.
