KTown and/or Flip, can you give us some info regarding your sectional/regional playoff's, and when it's scheduled?

Some of us here in the Inland Empire area were talking about driving up to watch one of his playoff games (in UT gear)...maybe a regular season, but I think a playoff game will probably be better to gauge how well Tyler executes against stiff competition, than to see his team pound a helpless squad.

Plus, with so much on the line, the little extra support can't hurt...give him an advanced Tennessee welcome, of sorts.

This friday Kingsburg will play Exeter for the league championship, with both teams being undefeated in league. Kingsburg will then have one remaining league game.

The playoffs will start on Nov. 20th and more than likely Kingsburg will receive a first round bye. They will then play in a quarterfinal game on the 27th. Semifinals on Dec. 4th and hopefully the finals on the 11th.

With a win on friday, they should be the number 1 seed in div. 4. Washington Union looks to be the best matchup for them but Kingsburg probably would not face them until the finals as they will be either 2 or 3 if Kingsburg wins out. Kingsburg beat Union earlier (28-21). But you never know. Hope that helps. That would be awesome if some of you made the trip.

Jimmy Hyams is reporting that Tyler Bray WILL NOT come to UT if they wear black jerseys and the world will come to an end.

In a game that was basically for the for the league championship against Exeter (undefeated in league) , Bray led his team to a 50-13 win and clinched at least a share of the league title.

It was 21-10 at half time and then Kingsburg exploded at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th qtrs. Exeter controlled the time of possession by having the ball for about 12 minutes more than Kingsburg, but Bray and the Vikings scored quickly and put the game out of reach.

Bray ended up 15-27, 297 yards , 5td's and no int's. He also had 3 rushes for 20 yards. He threw the ball very well with alot of zip.

Bray is da Man.

How does he compare to Scorggins, Heaps, and the other QB recruits we were after? Stats that is.

Tyler Bray throws five touchdown passes to clinch league title

New ESPNU 150 quarterback Tyler Bray completed 15 of 27 passes (55.6-percent) for 297 yards and five touchdowns in Kingsburg's (Calif.) 50-13 win over Exeter (Calif.), writes the Visalia Times-Delta.

"Kingsburg is a great community," Bray, a future Volunteer, said after the game. "Its like Friday Night Lights here. The city shuts down for our games."

Bray looks impressive. He definitely has the skills. IMO only thing that will hold him back next year is the speed of the game difference between high school and the SEC. Getting there early and learning the play book will help him make quicker decissions(SP). Thus being an EE going through spring and summer workouts I will be willing to bet he will be our starter next year unless he turns out to be a headcase.

I really like what I've seen from bray during his senior year, and all the more impressed considering he splits time with another D 1 recruit. I really hope Bray beats out whoever else on the roster, but I don't see him starting till mid year jmho.

Did you even watch any film of him? He looked good rolling out of the pocket. Just because he doesn't have 4.5 speed doesn't mean he doesn't have adequate mobility for a pro-style offense.
