See this one to me makes no sense. He didn't win in any catagory when it comes to ability. Are they saying he is most likely because hes going to USC where they are spoon feed a weak schedule and have the best chance to make it every year because of this??

Most likely to lose to Bray in the BCS title.

Probably because USC is always one of the best teams in the country, and they've got a better chance to win it than anywhere the other QBs are committed from that list.

Easy. The last national championship for USC was 2004. Before that USC has never won the actual BCS national championship (which started in the great year of 1999 which we won.) They SHARED one with LSU in 2003.

Well the only one to win an award that was not based on a opinion was Bray. He won the golden gun accuracy award based on points throughout the week.

He might need a little work, but he could become a leader on the team in the future. He appears to have pretty good arm and good accuracy.

YouTube - Kingsburg VS. Exeter 11/6/2009

Some highlights from this past Friday night. Tyler Bray was 15/27 for 297 yards and 5 touchdowns.
He does appear to be accurate and have good arm strength, but he is skinny as a rail. You can see how skinny he is in the Elite 11 highlight video. He will need to do some work when he gets on campus. Does anyone know what his bench press max is now?

I think he's filled out some since then. His bench press is irrelevant.

i think bray will be our next qb because he is coming in after new years to get an early start on school and weights and spring ball which will help a ton,but why is scroggins going to usc they signed 2 out of top 7 qb in last years class ,and barkley will be there two more years atleast so unless scroggins can go in and surplant a second year starter and sophmore he will be a junior or senior before he gets to play at usc

I just hope we can get him some protection for next year. I'm really not expecting another 8 win season, but if he can learn the system and get us to a bowl game next year, I'll be looking for the sky to be the limit for this kid with Kiffin's team.

Only reason I can think of is their history of success in placing QBs in the pros. Even their freaking backups get drafted. Playing in that system with those weapons around a QB against a crap level of competition really helps build draft status.

well to bad crompton will be playing on sundays next year and wont be around as a GA, to teach tyler about leadership as a QB, not saying he wont be a good one, but the only interview i heard was on bassillios radio show and he seems so timmed and awkward, maybe he was just having a crappy day or will get over that or something. theres no room playing QB for nervouisness esp in the sec.

Crompton won't be playing on Sundays. He may be warming a bench.

But at this point, it honestly seems like he hasn't improved an absolute ton. It just seems like the coaches are working the offense around him more (ie only a couple reads, one half of the field, more rollouts, ..etc)

Well in the Pete Carroll era. Probably should have specified that.

And you don't judge greatness solely on national titles. They're almost always in the top 5 and playing in BCS games.
