I promise this is true.....As the game ended, I yelled at Bray's Dad and said "We need him!". His Dad laughed and said "You got him!". I would never make this up. That was all that was said.

It's really funny to see how things get so stretched in such a short amount of time...I sat a row behind Tyler, his two "escorts", parents and little brother. During the 4th quarter the guy quoted stood up and yelled Tyler at least 20 times. Tyler had no interest in turning around...his mom even said Tyler someone is yelling at you and he still would not acknowledge the guy. Thats when the fan said "we need him" Mrs. Bray just laughed and that was it. His dad never said "you got him" or even looked at him.

I'm not posting this to call someone out as a liar I just don't want false expectations on the board coming from a fairy tail. Don't get me wrong from what I could tell the California QB did seem to enjoy his self after he got settled in with the ladies on each side. At one point his dad looked at him and said son " Just have fun." He will be catching a flight Sunday afternoon. His parents will be in town until Tuesday with I do think is a positive sign for the vols.

calm down fellas..
it was only WKU
WKU is bad. So is Charleston Southern. So I guess Florida shouldn't be happy about their team either? I also think Crompton is the clear choice for national offensive POTW? Who had a better game? Tebow and his two touchdowns, McCoy with three? The Vols are back!!

No way. You know every recruit that picked someone else over UT's mouth dropped. If we can continue this type of play I wouldn't be surprised if we have a major problem come feb. concerning number of available scholarships......

Volguy, check out my thread on this titled UT #1 class.

We will not run out of room. Worst case we will let 3 players move on to other options.

A 10-win season means we beat Ole Miss and UGA assuming we lose to Florida and Alabama. I don't see us beating both UGA and Ole Miss.

georgia is horrible it wont be very hard to beat them at home ole miss may be a challange but we have always handled ole miss pretty good and havent lost to arkansas latley except for in 2006 im not saying that that game is an automatic win for us but i think that it will be alot easier than people think

his dad did say that. i was sitting there in y6 when they yelled that too him. he is all vol!

I saw some guy (I was sitting in Y9) yelling Tyler Bray over and over and over near the end of the game - Tyler never looked but his mom, dad, and little brother did. I never saw his dad say anything. They just kind of laughed at the guy who was being a spaz.

UGA's loss to Oklahoma State doesn't mean UT will easily beat them. Remember, OSU is a top 10 team.

And this year's Ole Miss team is much better than the last time we played them. Coach O left Nutt a ton of talent.

And we don't even play Arkansas this year.

This is exactly what I saw as I posted above. Dude seemed drunk too.

Not sure why Tyler refused to even turn his head though - seemed really weird.

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to say but we don't play Arky this year. If I misread your post, my apologies, but punctuation goes a long way.

Run. On. Sentence. (Which has no merit, by the way)

I have to agree it was kinda over the top from the fan the he continued on and on to try to get his attention knowing that he could hear him yelling. Yet the other side of that is I thought it was a little arrogant from Bray not to even acknowledge the fan. I mean yea he is a 4* recruit but it's not like he had been putting up with fans pestering him all day. This fan was the only one I seen that tried to get his attention.

Did you have a traumatic experience with a comma or period as a child?

I would not claim already that UGA is a win. Sure they looked pretty inept, but I'd imagine when conference play opens there will be a lot of intensity.

I wouldn't read too much into his reaction. Some folks are just not initially comfortable with those that are extremely hospitable or demonstrate excessive adulation.

The first time I introduced my CA-native fiance to the state of Tennessee, she was a taken aback. She wasn't used to the eagerness of the natives to make her feel welcome, strangers making conversation, or the general considerate nature of most Southerners. But she quickly grew to love the atmosphere.

if we win 9 it will be a GREAT year!!!!

I'd set it @ 8. Any team in the SEC can show up and beat the other. It could easily turn out like three years ago when we went to the title game, everyone beats everyone. I'm excited about yesterday but it was everyones 1st game. Go Vols

9 wins would be an amazing coaching job and would really help us land a top ten class. 8 wins is still the goal I would be happy with.
