First time he really gets hit, he'll be done. He has to add some bulk before anyone can get too excited about him. He's far off from being ready. :nono:

You need to stick to golf tbh. "shooter"

Ainge was 6'6'' 200lbs and did fine. He will be 225 easy by game 1 next season and could outrun you going backwards.

He will be just fine. I will leave the talent scouting in the hands of people who know what they are doing versus message board wannabe gurus.

Yawn. We've heard this before. Ainge showed up at Tennessee at 197 lbs as a true freshman. Didn't stop him from taking a lot of hits his freshman year and being extremely productive.

I mean I get that it's high school and all, but come on. The kid's been playing football competitively and apparently has no history of injuries at all. I mean I am not pulling any of his school's sacks allowed totals or watched film to discover everytime he's scrambled what happens if he gets hit, but the kid is playing a contact sport and has made it up to his senior year at the size he is.

Naturally, as he gets older and goes from high school to college training programs, he's going to get bigger.

I would imagine he pops back up from an SEC full-speed hit faster than most of us here would.

So how is the too slow part going to be solved?

I agree, but not the best example

Ainge: Shoulder, season ender (ND game I think), Ankle missed game(s) (FL game I think) Pinky fumbled awkward backward handoffs (Cal game I think).

What do those injuries have to do with his weight?

I don't know. Maybe if he were heavier or more beefy he could take a hit without breaking... He was only sacked 3 or 4 times in one of his seasons yet he still sustained injuries that hampered his play. Hard to say. The pinky one was a fluke and definitely has no bearing on his weight, but the same could be said for any injury I suppose.

Jacory will have us all thinking that tall skinny QBs are fantastic before Bray suits up[/QUOTE

Miami has already had a successful "skinny" qb in Ken Dorsey. But, Ken didn't run and he had the best OL in the NCAA. Jacory may be their second, but I'm sure the coaches are trying to add some weight to him.

Tyler led Kingsburg to a 44-13 victory tonight in his first game of the year. I haven't found his full stats yet, but he did have 2 TD passes that were both 17 yards...

Sep 11, 2009 7:30:00 PM - Kingsburg @ Dos Palos | Blitz | fresnobee.com

I was at the game last night and he had a very impressive game. His first play from scrimmage that was a 50+ yard deep ball completion. The next play he ran an option play and picked up about 6 of the 10 yards before pitching to his running back who picked up the final 3 yards for the td. The coaches meet on Sunday and thats when the stats will be known. But yes 2 td's also had one dropped in the end zone. He had no picks and was very accurate all night. If I had to take a guess he threw for 300+ yards (he had over 100 in the first quarter).

It finally nice to see him taking almost all the snaps in the first half except for the final series of the half. Last year he split time pretty evenly with another qb. They pulled him from the game with a little over 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and he did not return.

Offensivley Kingsburg spread the offense when he was in. They were running 4 and 5 wideouts all night with an empty backfield. He made good reads and quick throws. He was not sacked (as far as I can recall). If I had to guess he was probably in the vacinity 20 for 30 passing. He moved the ball up field with relative ease, picking apart the defense. All the throwing they did opened up the run game (4 rushing td's).

I will update this post with his official stats once they are available.

In a nutshell, he looked primed and sharp. Next week will be a tougher game for Kingsburg.

Is their other QB a more athletic guy? A dual-threat of sorts?

I wouldn't neceesarily say that he is more athletic, but for sure a dual threat qb.. He is a little faster and doesn't have the arm Tyler has but he is a very good qb. They run a lot of option plays with him. He is about 6'-1"ish and 170#ish. And if I had to guess he is around a 5.0 40 (could be 4.8 or 5.2) but he is a lot more mobile and sneaky quick.

I talked to his dad at the game last night and he told me Tyler was up to 200# when they 'started' practicing this season but has since dropped down to around 192#.

Wow. It's a pity we can't go ahead and put him into a college-level S&C program. I met him and the guy has a big frame. He can definitely put on the weight.
