'10 CA QB Tyler Bray (Commit/On Campus)

In Bray's first game this season, he threw for 2 TDs and directed his team to a 44-13 victory. Their opponents had beaten a team the week before by 48-0. Anyway, here's an article about the game.

Kingsburg Recorder

It also says he ran for 3 more touchdowns. Haha. Maybe he has a lot more speed and agility than we thought he did. I only say a lot because some of us, myself included thought he might be a rock in the back field. It always amazes me when Peyton Manning runs for more than 5 yards at the pro level. I don't think Bray is going to beat many with his feet but I don't think we have to worry about him getting out of the pocket to throw the ball away if needed.

i belive we will get newton, and he will battle lamaison for the starting job next year.

lamaison is going to get better and i think he will be fine, i think bray will RS next season unless stephens quits

Unless someone decommits right before signing day and Newton is available or backs out of another commitment, I don't think there is any way Tennessee takes Newton. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see it.

Next year's depth chart:

1) Stephens
2) Bray
3) Lamaison

'11 depth chart:

1) Bray/Worley
2) Yet to be determined
3) Lamaison

I wish UT would start Stephens after UF......get him ready for next season.

Let Bray come in and compete with Nick for the job in '10. Let the better man win.

UT has done well with Frosh qb's in the past...Manning/Stewart and Ainge/Shaffer and Clausen. If Bray can beat out Nick, more power to him. Let Nick learn the system under center the rest of this season and get ready for next year.

I agree, Crompton has had numerous opportunities to redeem himself, but he has had more playbooks to study than the typical starting QB.

If Crompton can get on a roll, he will be fine. But starting his roll is the hardest thing to do.

What you said is important!!!

JC (no excuses) HAS had 3/4 OC's and systems while he has been at UT. That is unfair to him or anyone else. He has the tools (arm strength, quickness in pocket, and experience) to be good. It is unfair to TOTALY blame him because of the constant turnover with the staff, OC, QB coaches, ect...while he has been at UT.

That being said...he will not be at UT next year, and CLK needs to play Nick (after UF) and get him ready for 2010-2011.

I don't quite understand this. I understand that it'd be great to get Stephens some experience, but you make it seem like if we lose to Florida, the season is over. Sure, we'd be 1-2 but we'd only be 0-1 in the SEC. I don't think it'd quite be time to start getting guys ready for next season.

It's the SEC and anything can happen, and I want the best guy out there each week, whoever that is. And I'll leave it up to CLK to decide that. Sure, later in the season, if we're 4-4 or something like that, put in Stephens, but not this early in the season just for the sake of getting him ready if he's not the best QB we have.

We are going to watch Tyler Bray play tonight in his game against Washington Union, here in Fresno CA. I'll report my observations back to the board.

The difference between the two is like a C and a C-. Not a big difference. JC will not win any more games than NS. Get him ready for next year....learn the system....

I feel bad for JC. Hard learning 4 systems in 5 yrs....but it's about builing for the future. Will JC win 10 games and NS win 7???? No....There is very little difference between the two.

JMO!!!!! and I wish JC the best..he does not deserve the hate he is getting from most fans. He does try hard!

i undrestand 4 systems in 5 years but staring down receivers and piss poor throws have nothing to do with diiferent systems

Not defending the guy........but that does make a difference. The bad throws, staring down receivers, ect....yea..his fault. But it's hard to be consistant if you have different coaches telling you what to do.

As a Golf Pro......having several ways to swing a club is nice...but if 4 different people are telling you what to do...it's hard to know what is correct.
