I have watched Bray play since youth football and he has alway's had the arm, vision, knowledge and instincts of a good qb but he is now starting to get more agility and strength to go with it.

Last night they blitzed him from every angle and he either threw in to the face of the blitz or scrambled out of it to find open receivers. His back up is suppose to be the so called better athlete but he was not able to handle the pressure like Tyler did. Tyler's escapability is quite good. Here are a few highlights from last nights game. Kingsburg is the second game (team in the green)

That last throw he makes in the video is ridiculous. What an arm. He puts it right on the money too. Receiver didn't even have to adjust to the ball.

What an arm this kid has! Maybe he can start as a freshmen...regardless, it's very exciting to see. Thanks filp999!

The team in week 1 (Dos Palos) is considered a perenial power house , but they were also down in talent. Washington Union (who they played in week 2) is loaded with talent and have db's and lb's that run in 4.4 to 4.7 range, and they are considered one of the more talented teams in the valley, and Bray tore that secondary apart, if it not had been for 8-10 dropps by his WR's it would have been a 21 pt. win, at least. . After the Kingsburg loss , that team (WU) beat Sunnyside 54-18 and Sunnyside is a very athletic team and a div. 2 team that beat Torrey Pines in southern Calif. So to answer your question, they have played both quality and sub quality teams.

I thought this past offseason lasted forever, now I can't wait for Bray to get here! Kiffin will have a full year of recruiting, and most of the players will have their first full offseason with the same staff! Go Vols!

I would argue that, and say records are not indicactive of a team's quality. Sadly, 2 of the schools he has defeated have identical records as UT and one has better.

So record alone doesn't mean a whole lot, unless you will stand by your statement and you truly feel that UT is an inferior team to UCLA or Florida because of records. That being said, Dos Palos (week 1) I will give is not very good (this year), but geez Shooter how good is W. Kentucky? Really?

Corcoran and Washington Union are ranked 2 and 3 in their respected division. I would say that counts for something. BTW UCLA is nowhere near 2 or 3 in the Pac 10. That is not a dig at UT, but rather a dig at your comment.

So the stats are against legit opponents. Just as legit as the one's Crompton is putting up or whoever else your pushing for not good enough to beat him out.

Shooter, I would give anything to be starting QB at UT but it's something you or I will never do, however the way things are shaping up for next year Tyler will. Accept it, because as much as you want to dismiss him he is definetly the real deal.

You can tell that Bray knows how to play the position...unlike JC, he understands where and why he needs to make certain throws. Crompton is a good athlete...he just lacks it between the ears.

So do our coaches give this kid (and Smith, Ambles, etc.) a phone list of other recruits to call, or do they just start texting/fackebooking/twittering the guys they know from camps?

I know Peyton called a lot of people. I know if I was committed I would be hounding everybody to jump on board to be as successful as possible during that window of PT- a lot like what I was reading Ambles was doing.

Yea I think he's just like most kids wanting to take advantage of the free trips. It's always a little scary though. I've known more than a few people who went on those free time share weekends laughing about how they would NEVER buy a time share - only to return with - you guessed it -a time share.

This is random, I just watched Friday Night Lights the movie and Permian Panthers QB Mike Winchell looks exactly like Tyler Bray. Just Alot skinner and shorter.
