Just as a comparison, KY's QB (Hartline I think?) is listed at 6'6 206lbs. He looks to have enough size physicality.

I mean everyone thinks this kid will come in and contribute from day 1. I disagree 100 percent. I mean i think he will be great in a few years but not next year. He will have trouble adjusting from slow white competition to the SEC. I mean everyone looks good in camp with no rush and no pads

What do you mean?

So what you're saying is that you have no idea.

Barkley is 10 times more talented than Bray

Says who....you? You a recruiter now? You can envision what a kid will do in any particular offense? Crompton was 4+ stars depending on which service you looked at. They sure nailed that one didn't they all knowing one. Don't pretend to know something that there's absolutely no possible way you could have any way of knowing. :bad:

But you don't know that Barkley isn't 10 times better than Bray.I highly doubt it,but that's what makes recruiting so tough.

Nah, he's not
Barkley is lauded for his understanding of the game and being able to read defenses.
Pete Carroll says his knowledge & his breakdown of defenses are what seperates him, he knows where the football is supposed to go.
and thats more than half the battle.

We really do not need an All-Star Freshman. We just need a competent QB that can deliver the ball. Like Kiffin said. We don't expect miraculous plays we just need to complete the easy ones.

look at what bama did with john parker wilson. he's no all star but he managed the game. our defense and running game will be good enough that a game manager is all we need.

Ya but he was a 5th year player, i hope no one expects bray to come in and do what Matt B is doing at USC. Bray has a lot of talent but Matt was way more developed. Bray is going to need time and us fans need to understand that.

P.S. I know J Crompton is a 5th year player 2, but he is just bad a exception.

yea it will take time. by year 3 and 4 of the kiffin era this thing will be rolling!:dance2:

Amazingly enough most HS teams arent as good as Aquinas or Byrnes. He hasnt shot up the board because of his stats in games, it was his performance in camps against other good prospects. If you judged all players based on their competition you would miss out on a LOT of great players.

On the money!!!!

I would say without a doubt he never got any ink because of just that, but once he played against D1 def. backs and lit them up he got noticed. Yes he makes bad teams look reaaaally bad and he does it with out breaking a sweat. C'mon 5 TD's on 9 completions? That is sick, I do that against my kids in the back yard!

Ouch. c'mon man really, your going there? So cuz he's white and his comp is white means he can't come in and play against what? Black? He's better than any QB in this section, which probably is equal to the entire state you wrote your idotic comment in. It's not cuz the teams are white, black, or hispanic (yea we have hispanic here too)

Douche' bag, take that somewhere else.

Barkley is probably the most elite pro style QB since Jimmy Clausen.

Bray is in the 2nd tier in a down year at QBs.

Theres not a whole lot of comparison between them.
