'10 CA QB Tyler Bray (Commit/On Campus)

And from what I have read, Bray gets these stats in maybe half a game. He played a little more than a quarter this past week and balled

And to think...so many were rooting for us to get him. ND can have him. Anyone still think the coaching staff doesn't know how to evaluate talent?

I've always thought they did. Still, I would like to see the product on the field at the college level before I dub them the kings of evaluating talent. I am sure everything will work out but you get what I'm saying. Watching what they are doing with the current team... I can only assume their hand picked talent will fair far better. Unfortunate we didn't go more offensive linemen in last years class though. A couple seasons from now this team should be winning 10 games no problem if all goes according to plan.

Pretty great numbers , especially when Tyler only plays a little over a half a game every friday.
Kingsburg Head Coach Steele utilizes 2nd and 3rd stringers a lot. I believe that's because we lose Bray to Tennessee, 2nd stringer London Lacy to UC Davis, and sophomore starting QB which is Tyler Bray's younger brother to some High School in Tennessee next year.
That leaves a huge dropoff at the QB position and he has to get the Juniors playing experience so next year the team will be sound with a so so QB.
It's fun to watch Tyler while we have him. He is truly on a different level skill and talent wise.

Now i know your a bray fan and what not but do u honestly believe he will be able to come in as a freshman and make a impact cledus?

That's because the teams they have played the last 3 weeks have been terrible and the scores are out of hand by half time. They are now into the heart of their schedule and really have only one weak opponent left, so you will start to see the 1st string in most or all of the game from here on out.

This week's game against Dinuba is going to be a good test for the Vikings as these kid's have been battling against eachother since youth football. Dinuba is 4-1 , very strong and know the Vikings well.

Did anyone notice Jeremy Crabtree stated yesterday he feels Bray is the QB in the '10 class with the most upside?

Crabby is one of the few Rivals guys who's opinion I consider valuable and worth paying attention too.

Outside of him and Bobby Burton who were the founders of Rivals...the rest of the evaluators for Rivals are a bunch of huge egos who play up to their favorite programs.

Well damn I am a day behind LOL Just saw Lord Vader posted this yesterday about Crabby's comments.

18-2 Int ratio is unreal.

FWIW, saw Hendrix last Friday against Elder. He finished the game 3-7 passing.

Who knows. That's a tall order. Young QB's can be destroyed if put in with an inferior line and too much thrown at them at once. If anyone can do it, I think he can. **IF** he has a good OL and the coaches do a good job with him.
There's some very talented QB's that amounted to nothing largely because the OL sucked. David Carr comes to mind from recent memory. It's still a team sport.

You know where Brays bro will play next year, I'm guessing one of the Knox County schools?

Will he be a prospect?

Using the NFL isn't the best comparison.

They are looking still but, they are leaning towards Farragut do you guys have any suggestions. Austin is a pocket passer with good arm and vision.

Farragut and Maryville are both probably some of the best choices you could get for the area.

Maryvilles HC, George Quarles, is going to be the Head Coach of the Army All American East team though and has put several players in college, including a QB before.

I really don't know enough about Farraguts coaching to say a whole lot.

Alcoa is also a great football school and have good academics too, but I don't think their style of offense would fit him a whole lot. Honestly though, he'd probably have the most talent around him there.

Thanks for the input I have obviously never seen him play in person so its good to have the insight you have. Keep posting about him and keep us up to date on every thing going on. Thanks...
