The last 6'6 qb we got from the west coast played pretty well as a freshman and he was slow so I think if bray starts as a freshmam clk and the staff will have him ready to play and be productive

This group of coaches can actually develop players. Bray will do exceptionally well.

Totally agree. I know it's just been one good game really but look what they've transformed JC into. I look at it like this- Tyler will be coming into a very QB friendly system that has been proven to work and put the QB's in a position to make big plays. Some people say he'll be worse than Crompton at first but I totally disagree. He'll be on the same level of grasping the new system as JC was this year being an EE and he also won't have the shattered confidence and metal problems that JC has had to face.

Crompton in 09
0 years in system, players around him no experience in system and majority of skill players with no college experience at all.

No Confidence at all, little to no fan support
Bray in 10
0 years in system, surrounded with players who've had a year in the system and will be great if they continue to play like they did against UGA and build on that.

All the confidence in the world, year out of lighting HS competition and being one of top QB recruits in the country as well as being told "he's the guy" from Kiffin and Co.

I'll also go as far as saying that Bray will have the needed physical tools and even quite possibly better tools than Crompton.

Sorry for length but my point is- If crompton can succeed, you can bet Bray will.

The real question is when does his brother get his own recruiting thread :p
As soon as he gets a chance to play varsity. He should of transferred high schools because of his brother, JK. Seriously, once he starts stretching out vertically(and that should happen pretty quick) he is going to be a good qb.

Lamaison got a lot of praise by CLK.

I honestly expect Stephens/Lamaison battle. Redshirt Bray. 2011 will be a Bray/Top prospect battle

how many stars is he now? I've heard 4 and 5 and he's up to 200 lbs.

Bray is 4 stars on Rivals and ESPN and 3 stars on Scout. He is underrated on Scout. Not sure when they will update. I don't think he will make 5 star, but I think he will move up within the 4 stars when rankings are updated.

I am hoping that Bray get an AA game invite. I want to see him display is talents on national TV. The Army game doesnt have a QB yet and I cant find the UA rosters. IMO he should get an invite, but who knows how they think.

I have finally found who I want to compare Bray too. Tony Pike out of Cincy. Tall skinny, has a cannon and is accurate.

Nice. Let's hope he contributes before his junior year. I think Pike redshirted his Freshman year in 2005 and didn't start until last year, so he's a 5th year senior. I can't see Bray taking a redshirt even if Cam or Sims signs or more imortantly Kiffin and Co. waiting that long on him to develop.

I think Erik Ainge is also a good comparison. Both have a lot of the same assets, similar builds, etc...

Ainge weighed 195 lbs when he reported as a true freshman to Tennessee and started.

In the end, after all the comparisons that's the only thing that really matters.

I believe he might be invited to the offense/defense all star game in Myrtle Beach, and is still waiting on the Army game. He did not make the UA game. Here is the UA roster.
