I'm not freaking out. I'm simply looking at things without orange glasses. Those of you unconcerned about the lack of a signal collar are the same ones that throw remotes at the TV when we are losing the big games. Our roster next year will be composed of Nick Stephens, Nick Lamaison, and possibly Mike Rozier. All but Stephens are QBs that no one else wanted. We have to get someone who can play in this class. It's no longer a need, it's a necessity.

I do. Thanks.Sab we will get a QB relax. I promise you have my word there will be one more on the roster. Feel better?
Incorrect. I've watched inept coaching staffs make perfectly capable QBs look terrible and good coaching staffs make horrible QBs look serviceable.
I'm much more concerned with our OL class. See Alabama last year.
The only reason I'm even following the QB recruiting so closely is because I think it will help us bring in elite WRs and OL. If we don't convince those other players with the QB, I think we'll do it with our play on the field this year.
Ask Les Miles about the impact of not having a QB. Ask Tommy Tubberville. If he has an average QB last year, he still has a job.

I don't think either case was as much about having athletes to run "the spread" as it was a failure of leadership. No, he made the same mistake as Fulmer. He went away from his bread and butter and it cost him. That's not knocking the coaches they hired, but it's not what they, Fulmer and Tubbs, knew at the time. Both tried to run a type of the spread without the athletes to make it happen.
