That's what I was curious about. I figured him and Meyer we're too close for him to say anything rude about Meyer. I knew he was upset that we were recruiting a couple DBs, but thought LV implied he was dogging the coaches. My bad.:mf_surrender:

Everything is all speculation now. February is a long ways away, but still fun to talk about. :p I am sure that UT fills the needs on offense and defense. Doesn't matter to me if we get 1* or 5*. If these coaches are recruiting someone, there must be something good about them they like. Look at Boise State for the past several years. What is the average *'s they get. Stars alone mean nothing. It is how they are coached up that matters most. Rocky Top will be fine in a year or two and back on top of the SEC.

There is a big difference in looking good when your tough away game is hawaii as opposed to florida. this isn't the wac, it's the sec and everybody can coach. talent matters.

so is it safe to say that elam is solid to florida and the possible decommit is no more?

If this guy's not careful, he's gonna create enemies on both sides. Not good. He's no replacement for Eric Berry based on what I've read (off the field, at least). Berry's respected by everyone, even rivals. And Berry's respectful back. Goodbye Elam. We'll see you once a year on the other side. Try to keep your mouth shut so maybe we can at least be respectful of you when playing against us.

No...I got a feeling this guy is setting up UF for major heartbreak...Maybe not to us but someone else...I say we are still in the hunt for this stud but he is a strange one indeed.

Still not convinced. I believe there is a possibility he will pull the ol' switcharoo on Florida. A la Teague and Nuke.

No ink is dry. UF IS taking two top safeties already. I think Elam would better serve himself at UT. Something just doesn't sound right. How can a Conversation where Myer says "I know we already have two 5* safeties but you are our third.... and the best. I promise. I may not even play you at safety maybe some kind of linebbacker thingy. You would definitely not fit into Montes defensive system. (I just don't want Lane to get you)" fool this kid. Something is up. JMO

Elam is a mystery. One minute he's raving about UT and the coaches -- and the next minute he's closing his recruiting down and reaffirming his pledge to Florida.

Not sure what to make of this one?

"saying maybe he will be like Teague and Nuke" is basically saying "well every bit of information out there points to him NOT coming to UT, but im going to make myself feel better with the idea that he might randomly switch his commitment at the last second." idk about you, but i get a lot more out of reading actual information. but i guess its whatever floats your boat.

I'd much rather read someone's far fetched idea about how we could possibly get a recruit than your your insanely negative posts every single time..

its not negativety? its a realistic opinion. but from now on i will just predict every single recruit on the planet will go to UT just to make you happy.

Do yourself a favor and put him on ignore. dude has never been right about anything and constantly makes a fool of himself. I did a long time ago and i'm pretty sure I haven't missed out on any insight.

Gosh I'm glad I checked this thread to find out that two random strangers dislike each other......

Anyways, if this does remain a miss with Elam, a huge "I'm coming back" from Berry sure would ease the blow.
