Dorsey might end up at CB and even if he doesn't Drosey and Dowling are projected at FS while Matt is projected at SS, maybe even a LB so those two wouldn't affect his playing time.

What would are the other safeties that we already have on the team.

Speaking of LB, do you think he would beat out Bostic, Jenkins or Luc (assuming you guys get him)?

The chance is much much higher that Dowling ends up at WR, which he has already asked the coaches...He would be better at WR because he can't tackle and he has a chance for very early PT.

Dorsey will end up at CB if he even ends up at UF, which I don't think happens.

So we are bringing in 2 SS and one just broke his leg and is out of the season. I assume Elam will be able to beat Haden out for the future SS spot.

Dowling is playing WR.

Dorsey will end up a UF, and he'll play corner.

Haden broke his ankle.

Elam will probably out grow the safety spot...

Tell that to Nebraska. Stars are only a measuring stick by some on a high school level only. Just because they are good in High School, does not mean they will be worth anything in college. Nobody can argue that. Sometimes there are exceptions, but even the #1 recruit in the nation doesn't mean it's a guaranteed great college player. Dominique Robinson comes to mind who went to FSU. Flop. That Reed kid who was a receiver who was also going to FSU was a bust... there is already a thread ( or 100 of them) on here about HS to College players. Unfortunately Boise doesn't get to play in BCS games enough to really be able to measure them. I'll wait til Feb to see where he goes, but no matter where he goes it doesn't mean Elam is going to be a GREAT football player like EB.:ill_h4h:

Nebraska is your big success story? scratching into the top 25 isn't going to cut it at UT. Boise doesnt get to play in bcs games because they won't schedule decent competition. They don't schedule big time schools because they know they can't play with them. not all great hs players turn out to be great college guys but you NEVER see a bunch of 2 star recruits playing for a national championship and you never will.

They beat bama without their star lineman after a season of getting banged up and injured in the SEC. Its one thing to play one big game all season after a bunch of jokes in the mountain west...it's totally different to play tough games all year then play a fresh team in a bowl game. they would have been a 3 loss team in the sec last year.

Matt said a while ago over summer I believe that he wanted to take a few "free visits." I understand why he did it but now I really believe it's over especially after his 2 hour conversation with Meyer.

I agree. I don't think there has ever been anything substantial to push him in our favor. Everybody likes to hear that they could be the next Eric Berry and I'm sure Elam enjoyed that little ego boost but he has made too many derogatory comments regarding our program for there to be any legit interest.

has this whole thing been confirmed about him being solid to UF now? he still has a number of schools listed on scout that hes interested in. j/w

ESPN reported it and there are other links posted of the quotes of him saying he's solid, so it's more whether you believe him or if this is all part of a plan.

I think he ends up at Florida but you never know till they sign.
