That is true, but I think this is a lot different. It seems like Meyer and Elam's family have a very good relationship since he recruited his brother. Nuke, on the other hand, didn't have that strong of a relationship so it was just screwing over a coach.

Matt had two fine hostesses attached to him this weekend. No way he was pissed then.

Seriously, Matt and Urban go way back to the days Meyer was recruiting his big brother to ND. He's gotta say something good for his hosts or he's not going to get the royal treatment on his visits.

That's all over now. In January, Matt's going to enroll early and start school in Gainesville. No NSD drama for this one.

We're not going to lose all the defense. I think we keep at least half the starters plus the backups we have, have a lot of experience. Offense, Brantley is a very good QB and would be a starter for most teams. The team is going to be very good again next year.

As for Nuke and Teague, yes it sucks to lose guys on national signing day but they would have both redshirted this year. Neither were elite players in our class.

First of all I think you all will probably get Elam.

But have you seen your receivers? I have, and these guys would not have redshirted. Copper is descent but after that you all are not great. So just because you did not get them don't come on here and say they were not elite players. If they were not elite players you all would have never went after them.

That is the second article coming from a homer florida site to say that Elam was now firmly commited to the gators. I really wouldn't put much stock into it. For all we know, Those quotes of Elam's could be from when he originally commited.
To think that those quotes would be made and Scout, Rivals or ESPN wouldn't pick up on them and write an article is your first flag. Elam's drama is big news and all 3 would be all over it.

Just sit back and wait for something more official to come out. Until then Elam is still up in the air..

Rivals has an article up where he says he won't take anymore visits and he is completely set on UF. He had a 2 hour talk with Urban that really firmed things up.

he said that he didnt like that a coach promised him something then promised it to another safety as well... i wonder who that was... i guess he is going to be a gator barring something strange

I could see that. Riley said in an article after the visit that CLK told him he could be the next Eric Berry but he had apparently told Elam the same.

Neither is committed (officially), maybe coach thinks either would be the next EB. Just sayin.

If that's what happened then it was a dumb move on Kiffin's part. It's not like the 2 recruits were here on separate weekends! Besides, I thought Riley was a FS recruit and Elam a SS/EB-hybrid recruit. Guess not. Still dumb move on Kiffin's part, if true.
