The only thing that drew Elam to Florida was his relationship with Urban Meyer. Meyer is now gone, its not that complicated. Not saying he'll be at FSU but from what I heard there is a very high chance he will go somewhere else.

I don't see him going to WVU since Doc Holliday left to become Marshall's head coach. He's the main reason they recruited Florida so well the last few years.

Stranger things have happened though.

The only thing i'll say about that becuase I dont want to be called a homer is that right before he commited to UF he came out and said the only team that could draw him away was FSU. He also had a convo with Jimbo last night and it's been said that he told him he was transferring to FSU which im told is true....Whether all this means he'll be at FSU next year is prolly to early to say but like I said he is almost for sure leaving UF.

I'm hearring that he's still going to be a gator after speaking with Meyer today and Rivals will have it on front page later so at this point we ALL know nothing....

Well no chance we get Elam now IMO. Meyer is taking a 1 year leave of absence and sounds like it was a knee jerk reaction is his descion to retire.....I still think they may lose some recruits dont know who ya'll were in a race with them but hope you steal a couple.

Elam's problem with Tennessee came down to distance. Whatever happens with Meyer and Florida, did not change the distance to Knoxville. it is still the same

- The Palm Beach Post is reporting that Elam is probably going to decide not to be an EE and wait until NSD to make a final decision...

- The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that many people believe Elam is leaning towards WVU...

I am kinda stunned by the WVU news...

I have no idea whats going on and i dont think he does either. I've heard that he most likely wont be an EE and will play Bball this winter. Ya'll might have an outside shot at him if he does that.

But Holliday is the one who recruited him to WVU and he is the one with all the connections to FL. It just surprised me that he would still go to WVU now that Holliday is gone...
