'10 FL DE Corey Lemonier

From what I understand is he is dead set on playing DT but most teams are recruiting him as an OL.

I keep hearing Tennessee isn't pushing hard for Smith. Anyone else hearing this?

Why would we be letting him come on an OV if we aren't pushing for him? Are we just using him to get Lemonier on an OV to hopefully impress him enough that he picks us even if we don't offer Smith?

Lemonier = beast... He and Miller as the bookends would be nasty then using Jacques as the pass rush specialist both with hand on ground and standing up

Hey Sab, Do you think, of course this route will not be taken, with the talent coming in at d-line and the potential talent at linebacker we would have a sick 3-4 defense?

I hope we don't lose Copeland. It looks like a possibility we lose Harris, Brown, and Broussard. The only DTs we'd have would be Copeland and Willis and both need weight. My guess is that we would add two more. Smith would make sense. I would also guess we take a guy like Mahoney since he could contribute early. That is unless we can pull a shocker and steal a Garrison Smith or Kelcy Quarles or possibly even Chris Martin. I don't see much happening with Whitaker, Uko or Thornton right now.

I think we get the Lemonier / C. Smith package deal. That helps if we lose both JUCO guys. I think we end up holding onto Brown though.

Could they contribute at DT early?

Smith will not be getting on the field with the first string as a freshman. He could be a big contributor for us on the line, but he'll need time to add strength and adjust to the speed of the game.

I've seen several suggest his future is at OG, but I think if he gets a year or two to develop, he could contribute on D.

why does everyone seem to think Copeland is a DT?

I don't see it...

Have you seen the picture of him at his high school.... He looks like a DT more than a DE. I think its in his thread.

Did you see Copeland's highlights on Scout? Dude is an absolute beast at either position it looks like, if there is a way to keep him, you know Coach O will

Because he's closer to 6'1 than 6'2 and he's stated that he's already over 260. We're telling him to put on weight and get around 280 because he'd be a great DT on O's DL.

You're right I completely forgot about him converting to DT. Him and Willis could really be studs in the future under Coach O.

I think O may see a little Warren Sapp in Copeland. He'll be a helluva gap penetrator once he can add a little weight and strength.
