'10 FL DE Corey Lemonier

- From Barton Simmons when asked today about where Lemonier and Smith will end up...

I thought Illinois was fading for Lemonier according to the comment that 391 posted up earlier and now the Rivals comment says that Illinois is still a real player. What's the deal?

Illinois just had their first important success all year beating Michigan. Still a crap season but that was Ron Zook thinking he may not get fired.

Al Groh and Ron Zook may just save their jobs despite being truly pathetic at coaching. If Zook could coach like he can recruit, he would be behind only Joe Pa and Tressel in the Big 10.

"I'm going to Tennessee on November 20th. I think Calvin (Smith) and a few of our coaches are going up there with me. I'm not sure yet on any other visits right now."

Per Rivals...

And the plot thickens....

LV, do you think there's ANY chance that Jac may stand up and play some OLB on passing downs? He may end up the odd man out, I'm afraid. I've got a real soft spot for Jac...he wants to be a Vol more than ANYONE!

a sobriety test. JMac will be a Vol hero for all time.

Jacques is going nowhere but Tennessee

Oh, I know...but with Miller and (possibly) Lemonier, he may be the 3rd guy in that DE rotation in a few years.

I didn't mean odd man out as in he may leave....sorry, I know that was very misleading.

I just want Jac to make a HUGE impact. He wants to wear the orange more than anyone else. He's the kid you want to be the next stud D-Lineman just because he's so committed to the program.

You have to remember that Jac is actively helping to recruit most of these guys, so I'm sure he has confidence in his ability to compete with them and get his snaps. I think Jac will be fine.

Coach O is looking for depth on the D-line. He loves to rotate and keep guys fresh. He's looking for 8 guys to play where there won't be a drop-off in performance.

Jac will play regardless. It will only make all of the DL better players.

I would think that having 2 other stud DEs to play along with him and some stud DTs, LBs and DBs will only make him better.

The type of D that Monte and Coach O want to run allows for multiple guys at every front 7 position to make an impact.

Yeah...I know what you guys are saying and I completely agree. You can't help but want him to be THE guy on the D-Line. Really, he was one of the 1st recruits in either class to really jump on board. If I'm not mistaken, he committed right around NSD in Feb. He's done a lot for this program before ever even stepping on the field.

We will probably have 4-5 defensive ends that share time. The same will be true with d-tackles. It will be a good thing because it will prevent them from getting tired so they can fire off the ball at 100% every play.

Where do you guys think that each of the 3 (Smith, Miller and Lemonier) are better suited (strongside/weakside)?

All 3 are probably weakside

Willis would be strongside if he doesn't grow into a DT. Copeland would be strongside if not DT

dont worry about Jacq, he is the most developed (psychically) of all DL recruits, see TN Summer 09 Camp pic

He is a freak. Thanks Burger...appreciate it.

It would be nice to have atleast one of those guys opposite the other, though.
