UCLA and Auburn would have been in the bag.

Lincoln was 3/4 in the UCLA game. Hard to really blame him. Besides, him making a field goal would have only sent the game into double overtime. There was still a good chance we lose.

And Lincoln was also 2/2 in the Auburn game with a long of 47. We never got Lincoln close enough to attempt a field goal in the second half.

I think we could use an upgrade at kicker, but I don't think having Palardy last season means we definitely win those two games. We'd still lose to Auburn.

We woulda won, at least, 8 games last year with a half-way decent special teams. Palardy would be as big a get as any, IMO.

If you believe that, how many games would we have won with a half decent offense? To be more specific, a half decent quarterback?

Yet you would still take the kicker over the quarterback?

Why are you assuming he was choosing one over the other? This thread's focus is on a kicker, therefore his post was focused on the kicking and special teams aspect...

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Scroggins and Palardy both! That would be huge and my perfect scenario!!! And Scroggins would definitely attract the big-time prospects, but I think he goes to USC so I've taken a step off his bandwagon and jumped on the Palardy and Grayson/Rettig bandwagon.

When he said this...

I'll be more excited if we get him than if we get Scroggins.

it implies one is more valuable.

i was thinking he was 1/4

we scored 24 so 1 FG seems more likely than 3
