Yes, Gran was recruiting him long before he was hired by Kiffin. I said from the day Gran was hired, he would prove to be the best recruiter / coach combination on the staff and he will. Anyone who doubts this, obviously has not researched his past. Proven recruiter and great teacher / coach to get the kids to the next level. I love Gran, and if Kiffin is as smart as i think he is, he will do whatever it takes to keep him at UT.

Thats obvious. Gran is the best recruiter after the recruiting cordinator. Gran will be one of the major contributers to our success. Our RB's will be absolutly sick. Also look for our Kick off and punt return game to improve drastically. He revamped Auburns.

For those of you whining about losing Trooper Taylor...well I don't even need to go any further. Trooper Taylor, while I loved his enthusiasm, doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Eddie Gran. Great trade up, IMO. And yes, I know we didn't technically trade with Auburn, but you should be able to get my drift.

Gran doesn't bring the baggage. While I am cautiously positive about O... IMHO, Gran>Orgeron.

Smith is maybe still the S&C coach if not for too many bulls in the yard.

I think alot of people were high on TT because he was "cool". Others hated him because of his style.

I try to look at results. IMHO, he was underrated as a position coach. It would have been great to have had him and Gran on the same staff.

OTOH, I think TT overestimated his upside right now and that's why he jumped at the OSU job. Everyone else saw what Gundy was doing... not sure why TT missed it.
