'10 FL OL Torrian Wilson

the #2 OG in the country. Love that there are always surprises right around the corner with this staff.

I would really like to get this guy

I think he is going to favor Michigan though. A lot of his teammates/ friends are committed there. Vols will be in it though.

4* Rivals, 3* Scout

He's the perfect fit at OG though... which is our thinnest position. He and Fulton would go a long way to filling that problem.

Man...this news excites me. I've had Wilson in the back of my mind for a while. I wonder if he de-committed for any sort of academic reason? It can be tough to get into Stanford.

I think thats part of the reason honestly. Heard he probably wouldn't get into Stanford, also why he's considering USF pretty heavily

Don't know if its legit or not though

Yeah, as of today it's 1. UT 2. Michigan 3. USF

Also a few WVU rumblings.

UT the leader but it'll have to pan out after the OV in Jan.

Reason for not going to Stanford (per TOS): too far away

Grades would be the last reason for him not going to Stanford.

Four-star offensive guard Torrian Wilson (Miami/Northwestern) has decommitted from Stanford, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

The Under Armour All-American now has Michigan, Tennessee and South Florida as his top three.

Wilson, who originally committed to the Cardinal in September, was also recruited by Alabama, Florida International, Miami-FL, LSU, UCLA, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Florida and Central Florida.

I think we have a good shot at this kid, get him and Green, Cullen, alongside James. Not too bad huh?

Not too bad at all IMO. I believe that we should sign 6 OL in this class; Five at the least. Like Ive said before, realistically, if we sign a top 10 class and fill our need positions I will be happy with that. With the coaches we have their is no reason we cannot sign consistent top 10 classes. Torrian Wilson would be a nice addition to this class and I am keeping my fingers crossed about Cullen. Ironically, I think Zach Fulton could wind up being the best of them all once everything is said and done. Alot can happen in two months so we will see. This class could be turned upside down depending on what our staff looks like after the bowl game. January is going to be a critical month for us.
GO Vols!

I think USF would be A more likely destination for TW than UM. I say UT get him, Green, and Cullen. Now thats an oline class for the future:)

totally agree. i also dont see where he is down to UM and us. all reports i have seen say its still a 3 team race.

USF is considered his "safety net" school. If, for whatever reason, he's not 100% sold on UT or Michigan he may go there..... but it's a 2 team race with UT out in front.

His reasoning for leaving Stanford was distance, so that's the only thing USF has going for them and the biggest reason he is favoring UT over Michigan as well.
