'10 FL WR De’Joshua Johnson

You guys dominating us on and off the field. It's over.

College Football is cyclical. We all know that. The years of dominating are few and far between. We will not be dominating you in the near future. I know that. However, I think there is a talent gap b/w our beloved schools. IMO, it will take more than 2-3 years to catch up.

Only a slight talent gap actually...UT has had some good recruiting classes, but the coaching wasn't there for that talent....Now this staff will be able to use its full potential as far as talent goes....Lets hope so :eek:k:

Your in denial. Our D is already up to par. All we have to do is rebuild our O. The only part of our O I trust is the) corps. But we will be good enough on O by the 09 class's junior year to win it all.

Slight talent gap? We've got more talent at every position except RB.

(Bring on the rebuttal).

QB - Florida
RB - UT
WR - Florida
OL - Florida
TE - Florida

DT - Florida
DE - Florida
LB - Florida
CB - Florida
S - Florida

P - Florida
K -Florida

Seriously? You aren't going to give us the talent edge at safety?

I agree that you are much more talented, but give us a little credit. I think our DE's are pretty close as well.

Secondary and DEs are ours. Especially the S position. Eric Berry is better than both of your players. CB position is even but we have better depth. And our secondary will get an even bigger boost with the recruiting class that's coming in. You guys are not as far out there as you think gator.

On paper this is all well and good. The game still has to be played. I agree we are much deeper than TN, even at the S position. However, I do not think that either Black or Wright (Hill remains to be seen) is in the same sentence with Berry as far as talent. BUT we are deeper and that is what is why I give UF the nod on S. Freakish ability, no. Depth and athleticism, yes. UF has 2 proven S, TN has 1 all world S.

UF is better than us at every single position except RB and maybe, just maybe, defensive line. They pretty much completely dominate at every other position.

Berry and whoever else we start at safety still doesn't cancel out 2 bonafide stud safeties, as well as some pretty solid backups. Corners....we can't even touch. Janoris Jenkins, Joe Haden, and Pierre-Louis are all better than anyone we have. Spikes and Doe alone carries them over us at LB. Carlos Dunlap is a freak at DE and the others are all solid. OL isn't even a competition. Hernandez is better than anyone we have at TE. WRs are fairly close compared to the rest, but Debose and everyone they have on campus is already pretty solid, while we have maybe 3 guys of that caliber. We've got them beat at RB. And then I don't even have to mention QBs.

5'11" 135lbs. He has little more to go before he "gets it". Nuke outweighs him 35 lbs.

Johnson was big enough for Florida to offer him. Besides, rivals has him at 150 and scout has him at 155. Not exactly a bruiser, but much bigger than the 135 you are saying.

Trust me, he is much lighter than 150. I'm not bad mouthing the kid. He is very elusive and is good enough for a UF offer as well as a TN offer. I have heard it from multiple people who have seen this kid first hand and said he is much lighter than his listings on rivals or scout.

I know that does happen. Not sure why these guys inflate their height or weight. It might look better on paper, but the truth will come out. Regardless though, apparently this guy is the real deal.

Surprised I didn't get more blowback

DE - We've got a top 10 pick (Dunlap) and a probable 1-2nd rounder (Cunningham) to start and some excellent depth behind them. Not close.

S - You have the most talented safety obviously. But he's not the entire depth chart and we have 4-5 guys who would start at the other spot in the UT secondary. We have the entire 2 deep coming back from a team that led the NCAA in picks. Also, I'm not giving a lot of credit to guys who haven't set foot on campus yet and shown what they can do (Myles, Jackson). I'll acknowledge Berry as the best and agree to call this a push.

WR - We've got three returning seniors who caught TD's in the SECCG and/or BCS title game. We've got an amazing redshirt freshman in Frankie Hammond and another potential star in sophomore Deonte Thompson. Being consistent w/ above, I won't count incoming Andre Debose for us or Nuke on your side.

It's worth noting that Janzen Jackson and Darren Myles will be here in the fall.

I think you'll see that Walker and Martin (if healthy) have 1st round potential as well. They haven't proven it like Dunlap yet, but towards the middle of the year this could be in favor of UT.

Certainly things should even out a bit more in the future. Hard to imagine that UF would have such an edge at any point.

I wouldn't quite go that far yet. Neither of them have really proved anything against legit competition yet. They could end up being great, but at this point, they're both fairly unknown.

only recent exception would be USC
