'10 FL WR De’Joshua Johnson

"I dropped Florida and West Virginia because of the spread offense," Johnson told the Palm Beach Post. "I don't want to play in the spread offense. I've seen how it affected receivers in the NFL draft. They have to teach them to play in a pro-style offense."

Especially when Crabtree, Maclin, and Harvin come from a spread offense in college. All 3 a little different version of the spread, but clearly the "spread offense".

If they played in a Pro style offense they may have been top 10. Oh well, at least De'Joshua gets it.

Spread is just the flavor of the month. Pro style offenses are successful in college too. Just look at uSC and UTjr. It's all about getting the type of talent to run your ssttm and to fit your system. The rare talents like Percy Harvin can play well in any system

I agree with you MDBJJC, there are a rare bread of players that will succeed anywhere under any system or coach. However, it's just proven facts that the pro-style offense produces more qualtiy pro's and that's what DJohnson knows. He's obviously not a moron. For instance, if he were stupid, he would have florida at the top of his list.

We could have a pissing match all day. I mean, IMO there is a whole lot more for a HS kid to think about rather than the NFL. If you have "it", no matter what offense you run in college, you will be decent in the NFL.[/QUOTE]

Not Exactly.:)
