LOL - where's tncrimsonman - I think it's retarded when people says "well I guess that rumor is squashed" when a player is quoted in saying he's still committed to _________.

That's what they say if they don't feel comfortable going public with it yet - if they don't say that then everyone's going to know the rumor is true.

According to Rivals he has decommited. UA still in it but looking around acoording to J James. If the rumors are true we are not in it and it is actually good news for us. So we will see.

Actually it was an interview via AMP video last week with J James. But it really doesn't matter at this point. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Tide loses commitment

James will take several visits this fall with Alabama still a possibility. It is unclear who the other major contenders are at this point, but Tennessee is expected to be heavily involved in his recruitment.

"There is absolutely nothing to worry about with Blake," said Sonny Sims. "Come Signing Day, Blake is all Alabama. His recruitment has been over since he committed to Alabama several months ago. A.J. doesn't have a way to get around much, and we decided to take him several weeks ago."

Do you have to insinuate there is something going on behind the scenes that makes this a good thing for Bama?

Since this rumor has turned out to be true I'm going to also believe the rumor tha UT and UGA are his top schools...given our OL situation next year...I'd say it's looking pretty good for us

Here we go. He obviously has some character issues, grade issues, something that the almighty Tide will now say no big loss, its good news for us that we just lost the guy we have swore is not leaving us.

Well, being from Gainesville and all, I'd assume that he was telling the truth, especially after realizing who all goes to that city school and what type of standard of living these guys have. I don't doubt at all that AJ couldn't find a way up to see us. Now could I be wrong? Sure. But why would Blake's dad go out of his way to say they were still committed to Bama? Why wouldn't he just keep quiet? Now, if Blake decommits, his dad will look like a liar/fool.

Which, btw, if anybody wants to really make Blake happy, say 'Go Red Elephants' when you see him and AJ. As much as that pains me to say... That would be his HS team mascot, not bama
