'10 GA OT JaWuan James

JuWuan James himself said the same thing last week. That should tell you something. Sims is definitely, 100% interested in what UT has to offer. Where he ends up a Vol or not, I don't know. But he is interested...

Ok, and that's fine. All I'm saying is why would his dad say that if they're seriously considering switching? I just don't get the reasoning behind that. If he says nothing and switches, that's fine it happens all the time. If he says,"Come signing day, he's all Alabama," and then switches, he looks like a jackass and a complete fool. Just my take, maybe this guy's word doesn't mean much to him...

Then why even insinuate otherwise?

You get defensive about it but whats the point of saying what you did then get upset when you get called on it? You are one of the few reasonable non UT posters but that doesnt give you a pass when making that kind of remark.

I was not trying to state we didn't want him or he had issues so good ridence. I was trying to say it might be alright for us in the end. I do speculate from time to time but I try not to facilitate rumors unless there is info to support it. So when I said it might be good news for us, was because it might be a good indication we are getting someone else. Just like with loosing V Beasley and L Owens. I think VB was ours to loose and we had a legit shot at LO according to his interviews. Than all of sudden one commits to Clemson the other to the Barn and we get A Hill.

So I apologize if I was making it sound like if UT gets him it is because we did not want him. Again a great player and a big PU for whoever gets him, and I still hope we get him in the end.

His father will look like a fool for saying this
not just that Blake changed his mind. How do you not get that?

you obviously do not have kids. how can a dad look like a fool (strong word) because his son ( a TEENAGER) changes his mind??????

you dont have a lot of experience with teenage kids do you?

He's been drifting from UT for a little bit. His coaches are pushing him to Bama. ND is a player here as well...

I agree with Rex. JuWuan and Robinson end up at UT. Stone goes to Bama, and I think the Tide beat out Miami for Arie as well...

I will take that trade off. Along as they stay in the SEC and not go to any of the subconferences I anm content. Any two of those four is a win for any program. Plus I think whoever gets Arie gets his little Big brother.

I agree. Arie seems like a longshot now. Bama-UM battle. UT is barely in his top 5...

I think that our staff is still on Stone, but that his performance at our camp caused him to slide down our board a little.

That's not the freaking point. Read carefully this time. His dad (dad) will look like a fool(word) because he came out and publicly stated that his son(son) will not change his commitment come signing day. I repeat, WILL NOT. The fact he was so adamant about it means alot. He didn't say -- well, I think Blake will stick with Bama. -- No, he said,""Come Signing Day, Blake is all Alabama. His recruitment has been over since he committed to Alabama several months ago."

If Blake changes his mind, hey good for us, but his dad looks bogus for saying those things. If that happens, his dad should've never said anything in the first place. Just like Vader was saying with JJ's coach, except this time it would be the kid's own father.

EDIT: the bolded part is what I really want you to understand from all of this.

Thank goodness that many of the opinions expressed on VN are not the same opinion the UT staff has of the situations discussed here.

But I think UT is like UA. Any two of the four they would take. All 4 of them are playmakers. Also remember J James is looking at several programs and UA is still in it. I don't think just because UT is coming hard after him he decommited. I think playing time and several schools, combined with the excitement in Knoxville right now have him thinking that he needs to make sure where the best fit for him is now. Plus if he did not decommit Saban would be all over him about visiting elsewhere.

Remember that T Richardson decided he would take some visits before NSD and even rivals took him off as a verbal and considered him a soft verbal. Anything can happen before NSD.

I think that Stone will end up at ND or Vandy if he wants to stay close to home. Academics are more important than football to him.

Hmm...where did I see Stone to Bama before? That's right, I told every poster on this forum that Bama was his leader about a month ago and everyone thought I was crazy.

Okay, I gave you props in Stone's thread, but now you are just being cocky! :)

Didn't Stone get owned at the UT lineman camp?

I wouldn't say he got owned, but from what I heard, his performance was far from the best among the OL that were there. I heard Zach Fulton outperformed him (which is the main reason Fulton ended up with an offer in the first place). JMO

My take is that James wanted to see what other schools were about and Saban didn't like it. I think that Sims may have a plausible excuse as to why he is taking another kid to see Tennessee. Sims wants to check it out and in the event he doesn't like it he avoided pissing Saban off. I think Saban has made it quite clear that he doesn't like his early verbals to visit other schools.

I just wanted to let y'all know I'm having crow for dinner tonight. When the rumors started about James potentially decommitting, the word from a guy whose son plays on his team, as well as a recruiting analyst/writer for scout was that James was claiming there was nothing to the rumors. So, I stated emphatically on VN that he was rock solid in his commitment and even flamed Matt Phrem for spreading rumors. I was wr...wr...wr...wrong. BTW, crow taste like chicken -- old, dried out chicken.

So best case scenario:

UT - Cullen, James, Robinson
Miami - Arie
ND - Stone
UNC - Leifheit
Bama - none of the above!

(Of course, I'd gladly take any three of those 6)
