Word is, Hutson tried to commit to Iowa back in the summer. They would not take it and later pulled the offer all together.
Hutson's long passes look like balls thrown by Billy Kilmer. (all you young bucks will have to do some research on that one :) )

Couldn't go wrong recruiting this kid. He is 6'3" projected to go higher to 6'4" or 6'5", throws with great accuracy and his arm strength will improve. He has great field awareness and knows how how to run a game. Also he loves Tennessee. I wish Georgia was more interested but their loss could be Tennessee's gain if Tennessee were to offer him a scholarship. Fran Tarkenton didn't have the greatest arm strength and he is in the NFL Hall of Fame. So go figure!

I am not a homer.. I am a Georgia fan. I know the kid. I've watched him play. He is a winner . I want what is best for Hutson. He may not go to Tennessee but I bet wherever he goes he wins. He loves Tennessee and maybe heart and soul matter more in close football games. 4 star and 5 star players are great but if they are all about themselves and not about your program they will not work out. Good luck.

He IS a great young man, just not a BCS school caliber talent......yet. I am sure the staff at UT would love to have him walk-on and earn a scholly. He needs to go somewhere he can play though.
Tell him good luck against Chip's former boss. I do not like that man and I hope Lassiter whips them.

Mason must have the greatest WRs known to man since he is able to throw 5 yard passes and have the WRs gain 15-20 yards after every catch. He's the first QB in GA history to throw for over 4,000 yards. Just sucks that he has actually only thrown for 500 and the WRs have run for the other 3,500...

In one of his 400+ yard games, one reciever had 230 AFTER the catch yards. Your rival reports do not tell you that do they there, Skippy.
Drive your butt down here and watch him play instead of posting your snide remarks about someone you know nothing more than what you have read about him.

I heard this kid being discussed on my way to Knoxville on Friday. The "recruiting guy" on one of the sports am stations in Atlanta was suprized this kid has not gotten any big BCS offers yet, but expects him to get some. That was the first time I'd heard his name.

Yep im am a homer and proud to say I know Hutson and his family. He is a great kid that comes from a great family. But that being said the only reason I joined this board was to call out the posters who make judgements on someones talent and abilities without having even seen him throw a single pass, read a defense, or extend a play. all of which he does as well as any high school quaterback with more stars next to his name. I have been a coach for 12 years now (not Hutsons) and a player for many years before coaching and can tell you that what ever school he decides on with be getting a top notch person and player. Hope to see you guys at the game this Friday. Ill be there as always watching the record fall.

As an East Cobb resident, I hope Lassiter wins the state title. Tell Hutson good luck. He will get some more offers and I hope one of them is a school where he can do well.
I know from talking to other coaches and FCA leaders here in Cobb, that he is a fine young man. I care more about that than any football ability. I am only giving my personal assessment of his ability on the field from what I have observed watching two games last year and twice this year. Wish I was going to be in town Friday night. Go get'em!!!!!

Just talked to a Lassiter parent. He said that Joker Phillips and UVA were there last Friday night to see him and were "very impressed".
The Lassiter head coach has had some more calls this past week from more schools. The names dropped were FL ST, Vandy and Wake Forest.
Miss St seems to be the closest to an offer but it has not come in yet.
Just wanted to pass this along. Hutson will get a shot and I wish him all the best.

Just got a text from the Lassiter dad.
Hutson got an official offer from UVA last night.

Rumors going around the Strong is going to be Louisvilles next head coach... I hope Hutson doesn't get caught up in a staff change if he signs with UVA. While it is probably going to happen, I'd hate to see him get the shaft because of it.
