'10 GA RB Mack Brown

I gotcha. That is why I was saying it must be nice being in Florida because of the talent. I know that Tallahassee isn't next to Gainesville but when a kid has grown up in Florida and watched the Florida schools his whole life, it's an easy switch from UF to FSU. Also, can stay close to mom and dad still....

The problem is that Mack Brown is from Georgia...

Mack needs to take notice in the UF game, the Gators don't have any "real" running backs, the offense they run is hard to produce a great running back.

What I am hearing is that his family really wants him to come to UF. The family has a great relationship with Meyer who was his primary recruiter. I too have heard the rumors that Kenny Carter may go to Louisville as well.

He has told the mods over at scout that he is still a gator however where there is smoke there is fire. I'm hearing Gran has his ear over at FSU and he is listening but his parents say that the relationship is not the same there as it is at UF. This one is getting interesting.

IMO if he decommits he'll end up at FSU he has contacted us recently and Gran will be in his ear. I think UT has a very legit shot at Dorsey.....UF's class is slowly starting to fall apart.

He is going to take visits and while we may lose some commits I would hardly call our class falling apart. We will still have a good class when all is said and done just maybe not the number 1 class now.

I hate it if we miss out on Brown but I guess it is sort of a win for us if he goes to FSU. This does make me fairly upset at Gran for staying 1 year.

I heard Kiffin in an interview say that Gran had no options and he (Kiffin) gave him a shot. In fact, Kiffin said that he told Gran that he could do it on a trial basis to see how he did. I know you leave when more money is involved but come on man

Haha well ya'll have already lost Elam and theres no way you end up with the #1 class. There is a very good chance of Riggs, Dorsey and Brown going elsewhere. That would mean 4 of your top 9 recruits leaving....Might not be a total collapse, but like I said its slowly falling apart.

I don't expect them to be great. They are losing everything they have and their coaches. Yea I know they have talent waiting in the wings, but so did USC this year. Just look what happened to the Trojans when their proven players and coaches bolted...

They will still be very talented. They will likely still win 9-10 games. 8 wins is the worst I could see them falling. Remember us 7 years ago. We had some awful coaching but with our talent we still won games. We are now in the reverse situation.

Kenny Carter thing is a rumor started by a Nole Mod..... he's not going to UL bc they already hired a OC and their RB coach so unless he's going to be WR coach then Kenny will still be in gaineville. All these rumors from FSU "insiders" because they'v had a good month but Mack is a gator and Kenny is still going to be RB coach at UF.

Guys...are you forgetting we have 4 top quality RBs already here. Two of them were the top 2 RBs last year. Brown would be a nice addition but if we don't address our O-line needs it doesn't matter who we have in the backfield. We need lineman more than a RB.

I watched on ESPNews the presser after the Sugar Bowl and if this kid honestly thinks that Meyer will be back before the start of next year then he is surely being fed a bag. Meyer did not even know how to react and kept saying..."I have no idea what is going to happen, I am going to discuss that with the administration the next few days"

This KID actually thinks a guy tells him that "he will be back next season and is just taking a few months off" but forgets to tell AD Foley, Chancellor of UF, or his own family???
Honestly, if you looked at our class, and CLK had some health problem related to stress, would he not talk to JJ or Corey Miller or JS and instead call up Marques Pair to tell him in secret that he would be back? Mack Brown instead of Shaw, Elam, or Powell for that matter. I think he just would like to be a Gator and we should move on. Is he really the #98 player in the country for no reason? Back to Dyer or Seastrunk should be more important!

You are missing a key point, we are in the dead period. Meyer could not call anybody during this time. Mack called him which is allowed.

False - Meyer (or someone on his staff) could call Brown once per week during the dead period. Brown could call UF staff as much as he wants. Do you think these coaches are stupid though? You know they explain that to their most valued recruits and tell them to be sure to call me daily or whatever...come on man!

If by some miracle Brown does decommit it would be the smartest move in his interest. Sad to watch RB talent rot away in that gimmicky system in Gainesville.
