Bull$hit..I helped him change a flat tire on his Segway out on 75 at the same time he wqas suppose to be at the OCI.

Taproom - hell yeah! Blatz beer was only 50 cents and came in longnecks. Of course then it was legal to drink at 18. But during that era, if you were tall enough to slap your money on the bar, you were considered old enough :)

Love the Tap Room reference. Was really sad to see last fall that it no longer exists . Saw the sign still out front but looked like OCI's knocked out the wall and uses it for additional seating. Was too shook up to go in and see...is that true? The Tap Room and did anyone here ever go to Brother Jack's to eat pig burgers and BBQ?

wesrucker Good enough for me. Hubber knows recruiting rules better than me. RT @g8woods: @wesrucker Hubbs said it was permissible
about 5 hours ago from TweetDeck

Reply Retweet wesrucker I think so, in situations like this. I'll check. RT @grippingrain24: @wesrucker Is it ok for a coach to pick him up and drive him to campus?

This is what Wes tweeted, remember the bottom one is the first post.

That d-bag is no longer in my vocab. Come to think of it, a 37 yr old man saying anything to these high schoolers may seem a bit creepy. Maybe send my 10 and 11 yr old boys for an autograph. What section do the recruits sit in?

Great call! In fact, we need a few parents at the game with kids to do this. Make sure the kids know their names and act excited. That should leave a unique impression without being creepy.

i remember when i could drink at the lap when i was in high school... probably the reason it's gone!

For true family entertainment, you couldn't beat the back deck in The Lap. In one night you could see at least six arrests, three fights, 14 year olds tossing long necks over the rail playing like they were grenades, and about a dozen dudes groping the only female who dared to venture out there.

Recruits sit in the upper portion of section 123 (i think) in the student section. It will be roped off my caution tape prior to the game. Hard to miss.

I went into OCI for a burger and a beer 2 summers ago. The old timers on the strip are getting reamed these days. It's a tough business with 18-21 year old clientele except on game days. Still, a great place.

A lot of the old hangouts are gone. Last Lap, the Library, Ivy's, Quarters.

This was definitely posted on the other site and he seemed serious. Sab also posted and called BS, but he can be a witness. Here is what the guy stated and swears its true.

Just saw Ambles-Big NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was at OCI doing his thing. He told me he was for sure a vol and told everybody at OCI to not worry he is coming. This is huge news its a great day to be a Vol.

Good grief. For him to be coming just out of courtesy (as it was stated earlier), he sure did endure alot to get here. Hope his visit goes well. One thing is for sure, this trip has been different than any other he has taken- lol

It very well may be true, but I'm not putting too much stock into it. I mean, if he did say it, what was he going to say surrounded by drunken and potentially hostile vol fans in THEIR bar? On him, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Good point. He could say he is a Vol and laugh all the way back to Georgia. However, this is what the guys says, and I can only hope it's true.

I'm with you. It is heartening to see the great lengths he went through to get here too, so this really may have legs. I'll wait till he's a soph. and see if Hyams confirms....

I saw on his twitter where he was talking to a girl and saying " when I go there me and you need to go bone to bone." haha i'm not sure what he means. :p

Lawd I miss Sam and Andys.......

You and me both!

If you are a Vol fan and have never been to OCI, you need to make it a priority...Dave Hooker tries to be a hooker for VN, except we don't pay him because he is just a TEASE who never produces

how can someone like Josh Ward who is supposed to be a big part of UT Sports sit there and say he thinks that Chaney is coaching qb's? I know one would think it could be an educated guess, but with Nance's comments that Hinshaw will be his position coach, don't you think that these people would have read this. I know more info about the UT program by just reading this board, watching ESPN, and following some people like Sab than any of these other idiots. It literally disgusts me that they can even have a job when I would venture to guess that over half of volnation is more sports knowledgeable than these morons. Sorry, I will get off my soap box now
