I like him, the kid obviously knows he's gotta work to be able to produce, on and off the feild. Great job to the coaches for givin him the shot. I know it's still early but in his time at UT i think we'll see big things from this kid.

Just read an article on bama's rivals page

4. Can the Tide steal other programs commitments?

On the flip side of Storyline #3, Alabama's coaching staff will certainly keep battling to flip prospects that have already pledged to other schools (and there is a precedent of success - see Kenny Bell and Jonathan Atchison from last year). As the Tide staff has demonstrated several times, they are relentless even in the face of low odds in targeting priority recruits.

Several prospects to keep an eye on include Gulliver Prep quarterback Michael Strauss (Tulane), Murphy speedster Solomon Patton (Florida), Henry County receiver Markeith Ambles (Tennessee), Olive Branch offensive tackle Shon Coleman and Yazoo City athlete Kaleb Eulls. While Alabama may seemingly be out on some of the above prospects, don't count them out completely especially if any of the three decide to take an official to the Capstone in the fall or in January.

Same exact thing could apply to any "committed" prospects we are still recruiting. Every team thinks they can turn guys.....I dont see Ambles going anywhere.

Bama brought in 4 4-star receivers last year. I wouldnt worry about him switching with Bamas depth chart. I think he is all vol

wait....bama wants to turn Michael Strauss? don't they have QBs? wasn't this exact point brought up about sims by X the other day? too much depth??

Ambles said in his interview that he knew all along he wanted to go to TN that he was just looking at other schools to throw people off... I doubt he gets flipped by Bama... Hopefully he was at FNL recruiting for us!

We also recruit other players that are commited to other schools so i would imagined that everyone does it in some way.

Could it be possible that Ambles knows something that we dont pertaining to a new recruit? Just curious..

The fact that he called Brunetti almost immediately after he called Kiffin tells me he's staying put. That being said (and we've all heard it a billion times) they're 17-18 year olds and anything can happen.

Finally, the biggest name wide receiver that showed up on Thursday was McDonough (Ga.) Henry County star Markeith Ambles. The 6-foot-2, 182-pounder showed up with his Tennessee gear after committing to the Vols on Tuesday. Ambles is ranked as the nation's No. 43 player.

What camp is he at right now?

Seems like a smart kid.. Defintely glad to have him as a vol..
From what I've heard he's already tearing up kids phones to come to UT

Markeith Ambles has played the best among the receivers. I honestly think that he is the best ROUTE-RUNNER in the country. Nobody is smoother or knows how to set up the defender better.

Barton Simmons on Ambles performance at the Top Gun camp.
