Love the pickup and quite frankly, it comes as a surprise to me. It had seemed to me that we were on the outside looking in for the duration of the process. Ambles has been one of our topmost WR targets from the beginning, by my reckoning, and its always positive to see the staff get who they want. Hopefully, as others have stated, this helps to generate some momentum for offensive recruiting.

Wow, that is an absolutely great gain. Hope he stays on board! Now, we just need to get someone to throw to him :good!:

Hell yea I just got back from a trip and didn't look up anything on the recruiting when I was down there but this just made my day!!! GREAT PICK UP!!!!

I agree, barring any off the feild problems, I'm really excited about this guy! I think he's gonna be a stud, and kudos to the coaches for going against the grain on a few of our recruits and giving them a chance. One of two things will happen, they will bust it and work even harder for our staff b/c they were givin that shot, or they dont pan out. Either way worth a shot IMO!!

Marc Perez is really the only valuable poster on GVX anymore. Even most of the remaining Vol fans have little to say of any interest.

Sorry if this has been asked 1,000 times but does anyone know why he was asked not to go to the US AA game?? Or what his off field issues are? I'm on a blackberry for awhile due to a fried computer. Can't stand trying to go back too many pages. If this is a overbeaten horse just say so.

no one really knows what happened. but something did

he admitted on the sports animal that UGA didnt recruit him because of something that happened a couple years ago at his high school

and apparently he rubbed some ESPN guy the wrong way and got his all star game invitation pulled

No one knows for sure. There is a Rumor that he banged his coaches wife. Also heard somewhere that the pulled invitation to the AA game was a mistake. Not sure if thats true or not.

I've heard a rumor in Atlanta that he was expelled from school for assaulting a teacher. Also that he has been kicked out of a game for cussing out a ref. Everyone says that he has big time talent, but has a bit of an attitude and plays with a chip on his shoulder. The kid wants the ball. I'd say he is definitely worth the gamble.

I'd say that at least going to a bowl game will keep him solid and will land us a top 10 class.

Kiffin has the very easy position of only having to improve on 5 wins and has a very favorable schedule and a great defense to do it with.
