Some of us... ahem... predicted that UGA was overhyped last year and wouldn't win the SEC or NC. Specifically, I predicted they'd lose 3 and maybe 4 games due to their OL inexperience. They lost 3 and should have lost a 4th had USC not so reliably choked.

I like Richt but he does seem to have some Fulmer in him. He's not tough on his players and gives coaches leashes that are too long. I suspect he may be on the hot seat within the next couple of years for not winning championships with all that talent... in the mean time, Kiffin will have to target GA in recruiting to build up UT. One of them won't survive.

why the heck does UGA not want him? Are there character issues or something?

UGA is not quite talented enough to "not want" prospects like Ambles, unless there is something else in play here...

They are eyeballing other prospects and he will be a fall back as Hens67 stated if those fall through.

He would be a great pick up no matter where ended up going but let's hope he signs a LOI with UT.

Ambles = 6'2 185. Williams = 6'5 230. Big difference. Not neccesarilly saying that Ambles won't be a good player, but a "slow" 6'2 guy is a lot different from a "slow" 6'5 guy. And btw Williams had a 4.5 forty time coming out of HS FWIW.

He looks faster than Mike Williams. He's a smooth big time playmaker. Don't know why he's not rated higher by rivals.

Saying someone looks faster is idiotic. I don't care how fast they look, nor should you. I only care how fast they play. You're the GM, you should know the difference. Perhaps "The Lions GM" would be a more fitting tag.

To be fair, I think Nike Vapors were around, although I don't know that they were in widespread use amongst American football players.

I was wearing Vapors back in 2000 they were around. But it isn't idiotic to say one guy looks faster than another. What's idiotic about that?

Perhaps the better word is irrelevant.

And it doesn't matter if one guy looks faster than another if he isn't faster.

Apparently you missed the part where I said "I don't care how fast a guy looks, I care how fast he plays." You know who looks fast? Devery Henderson. That has certainly helped him become a Pro Bowl wide receiver.

Hell, Leonard Scott looked faster than lightning, that got him exactly nowhere.
