'10 JUCO LB Glen Stanley

I know I'll get tarred and feathered for saying this, but I don't think X is in the wrong here. Stanley wasn't on our radar before X left; if X wants to recruit him now I feel like he has every right to. BTW I still hate him but I'm just trying to be fair

nascar starts soon. bye:hi:

We don't want fair. Fair would have been for O to not call our EE's. Fair would have been for X to not leach all out recruits, coaches, GA's and toilet paper. I think fair would be for X & O to get a year long case of the TN Trots and no Sears Catalog in the outhouse. :good!:

I just think everyone needs to get over themselves on Stanley. JC Copeland has been a commit for forever, but LSU tried to swing him with 1 week left. I don't think it's as big a deal as everyone on here is trying to make it. X is gone, if stanley wants to go to USC thats fine too

you dont think it's a little odd that he gets a late offer from a school i would guess wouldnt have gave him a look?
i think ut did the footwork finding him and slimball notices him afterward. anyway good riddance, just bad practice.

I'd be a lot more suspicious if it were someone like Crump we were talking about. It's not like no one knew about Stanley; he had some pretty decent offers on the table already. The point I'm trying to make is that just because someone is a douche (and we can all agree Kiffin is that) doesn't mean that everything that person does is malicious.

I agree! I think it is more about the "Math Class" than anything at this point. For future reference we need to recruit only Juco's that have the math class.

The problem isn't so much that X is recruiting him, at least for me that is. The problem I have is that for the entire year that he was here, Stanley was never on our radar. He never recruited him to come here. Then once he got to USC he starts recruiting him and tells him that "they only offer JuCo players that can come in and have an immediate impact" and that Stanley is a great talent.

However, while he was here he recruited 5 JuCo players. John Brown, Dequan Menzie, Kenbrell Thompkins, Nick Lamaison, and Matt Simms. Did he honestly feel that all of those guys could come in and make an immediate impact? 3/5 maybe. If that were really his philosophy Lamaison and Simms wouldn't be taking up two scholarships.

The problem isn't the fact that he does it, but the way he goes about it and the lies he tells while doing it.

Obviously his evaluation is that Stanley is not an SEC talent at LB, but would thrive in the weaker PAC 10.
:good!:

Does Kiffin have an ego? Is the Pope Catholic? Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle?

The worst thing that could happen to X's ego would be for UT to finish with a hihger ranking recruiting class than U.S.uC.k

Take a 4* player from us to them and it does two things.
1.Gets them a good prospect and 2.Big point swing in the ranking. Don't think that he doesn't take it ALL into consideration.

He's using UT's prospect research along with his own plus his intimate knowledge of our football program as a reverse selling tool. He has that advantage with UT where he doesn't anywhere else. He can't pull that off just anywhere. His rep is catching up with him.

Totally agree with all of the above re: Kiffin.

The Williams and Copeland good news leaves us with Stanley as our biggest problem tomorrow.

Hopefully Glen makes the right decision tomorrow.

If he does, this class could be incredible.

Tell me your joking?

No.

The disturbing thing from Tennessee's standpoint is that there doesn't appear to be any real buzz at the moment. Stanley hasn't spoken publicly since telling us last Sunday night that he was a Tennessee commitment and his visit as USC came as a surprise. Because of that you have to think that the Vols could be in real trouble here.
