'10 JUCO LB Glen Stanley

i don't know if u guys have seen it yet or not but on rivals.com their experts made predictions on who will sign where and all 5 of them said da'rick to UT and 2 outta 5 said ambles to UT while the other 3 said he's going to sign with UNC. rogers would be a huge pull for us since jones and moore will be leaving after this season. any word on austin rogers 6th year or did the ncaa deny it to him? vandy picked up rajaan bennett, i guess when we picked up the other RB he figured he wouldn't get much playin time. james stone is supposedly down to UT and bama with UT leading slightly. i've been readin uga message boards today and they are all bashing da'rick rogers and the nance family soooo bad. i hope stanley signs with us but i'm sure kiffin rolled out the red carpet for him when he went out there. who do u guys think we are gonna go after as out d-coordinator?

I think some folks here have a serious, serious inferiority complex. They think every time a recruit visits somewhere else they're "gone"... since obviously they'd never choose UT over another good program.

So true.

He will not qualify academically because of SEC requirements, specifically a math requirement, same thing as Irvin I believe. So he is looking elsewhere. Why he would commit in the first place is another question.

His exit interview after USC kinda told why. This is a very exciting time in his life. He's worked his whole life to play football, and his dream is finally coming true. He has people coming after him wanting him to play for them.

So when a big time program offered him a scholarship (UT), he jumped all over it.

Now he has a decision, and the SEC academic requirements may push him to USC.

I am happy for the guy, especially if he wouldn't qualify for the SEC. He is young and impressionable and is potentially making a terrible decision if he signs with USC. But it also could work out for him.

I love how Kiffin said his staff wouldn't recruit any UT player who is committed. You have to recruit a player to have them on an OV.

I hope Knox grows up to be gay.

Its not that I think we HAVE to get this guy, but it would be satisfying to see X and O flop on their attempt to pull him.

I have been on the case. :detective: Like all good athletes, he has comand of math as long as you keep it to single digits. it was those pesky word problems, cause he cant read.

If we only have a few spots come signing day and too many commit, can we then tell Stanley to f*** off since "he's committed but still open." That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

If Stanley went to USC w/o notifying the coaches, he might find himself at the mercy of the big board, yes. Not saying that's what happened, just looks that way.

we can sign 30 ppl, only 27 can enroll. look for a couple of the commits like the jackson kid or sapp or guys like that to maybe enroll into hargrave or somewhere like that to bulk up, speed up, get use to better competition or etc. sapp would make a great coverage OLB if he bulks up 15 pounds or so. if the jackson guy works his speed up some he would make a great pass rushing OLB. i think this is why coach T fell in love with these guys and crump because he sees how much raw potential they have and with some like coach T coaching them up everyday at linebacker, we would have a devastating linebacker corp. any word on the switch to a 3-4 defense this year since we are thin at DT and solid at LB?

F.Y.I. keep an eye out for the LB jerod askew, he redshirted last season to bulk up and get faster, i think the kid is gonna be a great player.

I know I'll get tarred and feathered for saying this, but I don't think X is in the wrong here. Stanley wasn't on our radar before X left; if X wants to recruit him now I feel like he has every right to. BTW I still hate him but I'm just trying to be fair

That raises the question of why he wasn't on CLK's radar when he was at UT, but now that CLK is at USC and he has committed to UT now he wants him. It just seems like he's going for him out of spite (or possibly, desperation).

i would have to say that kiffin has ALOT of pressure on him considering how many ppl coach dd has had commit since his arrival and kiffin has had no one commit since he arrived in cali. it makes me think he is getting nervous sitting there with only 14 commits 2 days from NSD. coach dd has done a great job IMO of hitting the ground running at UT. i mean sure not all of his commits are 5 stars but he has some kids that really wanna play football for UT and give it their all and that shows me what kinda kids he looks for and what kinda guy he is. GO BIG ORANGE!

not to mention the fact they are loaded at olb and only have 14...make that 13 commits now and it's a few days from nsd. i think it's a desperate attempt to try and create publicity.
