“They were very excited to hear the news,” Thompkins told InsideTennessee.com. “Their entire coaching staff has been really recruiting me hard. I really like their wide receiver Coach Frank Wilson. He is easy to talk to and I have developed a great relationship with him already.”

“I loved the game, and I really loved the new uniforms,” Thompkins said. “For Kiffin to stand up for his players about the jerseys says a lot about him as a head coach. I like that a lot.”

Hears my problem with Fla when you have kids like Thompkins, Louis and Easley(ny/nj kid) that want to be gators and you hold off/slow play whatever then you gamble somehow it doesn't play out right you begin hurt your depth once the "5 star" kids decide to stay instate, dont want to compete for time or just want to play for another program. Its not a problem this year because past classes were loaded but when Bama, Uga and Lsu are recruiting well now you throw in the "dream team" staff that Kiffin has put together its not going to be a cake walk for us any longer..Hell USF has kids like T-Rex, Robey and Christian Green considering them. Gator fans don't want to admit this but I will....WE aint USCw meaning we can't get 95% of our targets. I'm a Gator but Kiffin and company are doing a HELL of a job in recruiting.

i'm not worried about his past this staff doesn't play...see morley and vinson has seemed to keep his nose clean now as well very strict staff we have now

those are highlights of kenbrell thompkins. look at the date of the videos. plus, my brother is a huge miami fan and confirmed as much.:good!:

Actually, I like this one even better than the one they wore this past weekend.

Of course, Berry makes any uniform look better.

By now, recruits themselves must know that when they sign with the Vols, they're signing to walk the straight and narrow path... that leads directly to the NFL.

+1 I think that Dan Williams has turned into NFL late round material this staff can make any kid NFL material.

I gotta believe Dan is goin better than Late round.
IMO he's doing more damage and making more plays than Justin Harrell. and he's gonna have Monte co-signing him to scouts. I'd probably say 2nd or 3rd round. *shrugs*

Dan Williams is the one guy that I thought would get drafted. He has probably played his way into a higher pick now.

I lover our coaching staff, but not everyone can play in the NFL, obviously.

Dan Williams was a 3-4th rounder coming into the season, right?

He's playing like a first or second round pick now.


The turnaround story for this staff is obviously... one each, Jon Crompton.

IMO, after seeing his turn around so far this year I wold have to say that he would have benefitted from a couple more years in Kiffin's system. I think he would be a helleva feared QB. I just wished his "click" would have happened in the UCLA game and we would have played FL a lot closer or even beaten them.

Kendall Thompkins who plays at UM is Kenbrell little brother. Kenbrell is one of a handful of players to ever start both ways at Miami Northwestern when he was in high school. I really look for Kenbrell to be the Vols starting WR in game #1 next year if he comes in December because he is that talented.

I'm really excited about getting Thompkins. I was quite downhearted after Cobbs decommitment, but getting two new recruits in Kenbrell and Ken Adams has totally eclipsed that. Now, with good rumors swirling about Dyer and Mosley, plus a few others, things look to be getting very exciting in recruiting news here pretty soon!

Yeah i agree with you i think he is better than Jones and Moore he could easily start.

Very Talented, My boy and I were talkin about him last nite and he migth be a "one & done" type player.

If he gets the scheme down and learns his playbook, his size and skill set are incredible.

What a huge pickup. Best WR in JC by far and a future NFL player. Perfect fit for a pro-style offense. Great addition! If they get Menzie then IMO they are getting the Top 2 JC's in the country although Brice Schwab is right there with them.
