'10 KY FB Channing Fugate

Fullback, H-back,TE,Special Teams blocker, this kid could do either. I am really glad he is apart of the puzzel.

I agree with the positives that this young man brings to the table. Think he is the kind of player UT really needs and so glad our staff (once again) has given him a chance here. He is just a solid football player and I believe he will be a tremendous find for us.

I don't think he has the size for TE, but you never know how much weight they are going to put on. LB and HB are probably more suited for him.

I thought it has already been decided that he is probably going to be a fullback. Makes sense... he is big and can block. He has speed and can catch. Having a fullback that can block and can also catch balls out of the back field is a huge plus. I think he'll be a fullback but who knows I guess. Definitely need a fullback for the offense Kiffin is running.

If I remember correctly he said that the coaches promised him the ball around 10-15 times a game. be it run or catch still a significant player in there minds

He will not be on defense. The staff recruited him the entire time solely as a Fullback / H-Back. And in a pro-style offense that is an important & often used position.

I don't disagree, that was just my opnion. However, when he gets here the staff will put him wherever he is needed most, and that just might be linebacker.

I can see Toney Williams being the H-back as well.

Toney Williams is a straight up RB.

This guy is gonna be an H Back. Think Chris Brown from a couple years back. He's gonna have plenty of opportunities to catch it and run in this offense.

Did he have much film of him catching out the backfield? Most I saw was of him running, and he looked real good with surprising speed. Most of the d-backs looked silly on the angles when trying to tackle him.

I live in Lexington so I've seen the highlights on Friday nights the past few seasons and he's definitely legit. Although he plays 3A and Kentucky isn't exactly a football hot bed (an understatement of course), last year he rushed for 3000+ yards and 36 TDs. Oh btw, he also led the Breathitt County team in tackles. Some people are making comparisons to Jacob Hester but I think he's more a hybrid of Hester, Stanley Havili and Chris Cooley. I see him being a big-time weapon on offense that many teams will underestimate. I just can't wait to see how much more ripped he'll be after a summer of S&C with this staff.
