I think that "amuses" is more accurate than "chaffs." Plus, he could still end up a Duck. Never know.
Thank you, sir. This board is fun. I don't mind being outnumbered and I'm a celebrity.![]()
Could you elaborate on the scenario in which BB ends up Oregon?
All Brown has to do to get a free ride to Oregon is beat his girlfriend and get kicked out of UT.
If losing the #1 recruit "amuses" you....Id hate t osee what makes you angry.
come on wheaton, i was trying to give you a little credit, cause i like underdog storys like oregon, and that program, but its kinda assinine to hold out hope that brown would transfer to oregon to play in a spread offense, that would basicly derail his future as a pro football player in his posiston.
Just by the nature of his potential as an RB. He could more easily transfer and get playing time than other players. So, if things don't look to be turning around for UT in a year or two, I wouldn't be surprised to see Brown jump ship.

Hah! I don't see that happening with Brown.
I don't think it's accurate to say that Oregon "lost" Brown. It's not like he de-committed.
What is amusing isn't that he didn't choose Oregon. It's that he did choose UT. Not a bad program. But, one clearly in transition.
I'm not holding out any hope. I just wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.
And how would that derail his pro career? Onterrio Smith did the same thing plus got into a bunch of trouble and still made it to the league.
Brown could transfer from UT to No-Name State U and still most likely make it to the NFL.
I think you have a better chance on seeing Brown play for Oregon's NFL team. Of course, you have to get a team there first, but that's just the odds.
So, you're trying to talk to Munchie through VN this year. I don't think our relationship with him is hot enough at this stage for that purpose.
This coming from a fan of the University of Oregon, which is a never-has-been program which has won nothing, is truly amusing. We will also see how humorous you think it is when BB is smashing your poor defense next year.![]()
I keep forgetting that we have Duck stew on the schedule next year.
Oregon is gonna wreck us next year. We'll have no offensive line. We aren't doing anything without that on offense.
Meanwhile Oregon is likely to stay a top 20 type team or better.
Is Oregon still pursuing Munchie, Wheaton? It seems everyone else has passed on him.
wheaton dream on, you wana compare records, lets compare all time? or bowl vicotrys or national championships. you are delousional.
Lattimore will not go to Oregon.
Wheaton, Lattimore is not going to go to Oregon. Not because it's not a good enough school, he is just way further along with schools that he loves that are much closer to home. I would be surprised if he went anywhere but USCe or FSU.

This has all been done and the conclusion proven.
Still, Wheaton does add a unique perspective to VN. Stick around!
Who else would speculate about a UT player transferring to Oregon without getting kicked off our team?
In all likelihood, Lattimore stays home and plays for the Gamecocks. You know how crippling it is to your school that so many prospects you are recruiting live on the other coast. If he doesn't stay home, he goes to FSU.Maybe not. They will be fine without him. But, he has recently been saying that Oregon is in the mix. Would be a good fit and timing.
That could be. Though, both of those programs each have 2 four star RBs in the class before him as well as a 4 star in the class before that. What are they going to do? Bench their 4* guys to play Lattimore as a freshman or sophomore?
Those are RB log-jam schools. UO has a clear opening for a stud RB to get early playing time and a lot of recent success in the running game.
