One thing that Chad Simmons brought to our chat this morning is the fact that he feels Munchie is more of a true pocket passer than he is a dual threat guy. He is going to be rated one of the TOP 10 QBs in the nation.
We will have to agree to disagree. To me Hendrix clearly has more upside. This is JMO, but after watching both these guys videos, Hendrix will be the best pro-style college QB.
i think the coaches feel that when they work on munchies mechanics his arm is going to get stronger
also all i seen was hendrix throwing from that stupid pistol formation. i did how ever see some video of munchie throwing at a camp dropping back without pads (which means more than you would think) id rather see them both throw from under center in pads in a game situation to feel 100%, but im willing to bet that either of theese guys would do just fine for us, but in no way is hendrix better than munchie. and saying hendrix is just as fast if you watched the game film you know thats BS.
40 times on an artifical surface withouth pads indoors dosent always translate to game speed.
this is a case of sabanachio putting to much into what rivals and scout says.
I'm quite sure that Coach O and F.Wilson have plenty of inside info that we don't have, with their N.O. connections...probably have more game tape on him than any other prospectI'm not saying Hendrix is better than Munchie, just a better pro-style QB and a better fit for our system. It is obvious that Munchie has talent, but he just seems like a better fit for a spread offense. The youtube video I watched of him, he ran the ball 19 times. He threw very short passes when he did throw. I just think Hendrix looks sharper and better suited for our offense. I will take either of these guys, becuase the coaches obviously see something they like, but I have to admit, I was surprised when UT offered Legaux.

I like him more then Sims. I would love it if him and Scroggins committed. That is possible. NL is in the 09 class, so that would still leave us fully capable of taking 2 in this next class.
who? Munchie you think is a silent?
No. Its just that Scroggins is a very real chance for us. I am not giving up on him until I see that there is no chance we get him.
