'10 MS OT Damien Robinson

Cosby had some good bball teams around that time. Webb was nasty...

Four straight state tournaments when I was in school, last 2 years state championship game. Never won the damn thing though. Webb and Savard were awesome, and Shults was probably the best big man in the classification his Junior and Senior years.

That team Cosby had in '06 ( i think it was '06 ) was pretty good. They went something like 30-1 in the regular season & made it all the way to the State Championship game against Humboldt & got drilled.

That team with Webb and them on it would kill the '06 Cosby team. And the '06 team got put out in the 1st round from I remember. Both of those teams put my Hampton Bulldogs out in the sub-state too...

Sadly not a one of the guys from any of the state tournament teams went on to play in college. They had the talent to at least play at a small school, but none of them did.

I never got to see those early 2000 teams play. The '06 Cosby team is the only team from CHS I have seen play. I have heard numerous of times about how good those Cosby teams were back in the day Lol.

OL Shon Coleman and OL Damien Robinson. So the guy running the TOS Ole Miss site says we lead for both, and a poster over there gets the feeling from various posts on the subject of Robinson that he is ours whenever we are ready to take him.

Ole Miss, Auburn, and Miami still in play for Coleman.

Probably. I don't think they're as high on the board as guys like Green, Cullen, Wilson, and maybe even Stone. Once some of the guys come out and commit either to us or others is when I think we decide if we take these guys or not.

One of the glaring weaknesses in Fulmer's worst recruiting years was the fact he could not get any D or O line talent (we have some, but no depth). You saw it all year long. It was not more apparent than in the VT and Ole Miss game.

Staff is doing a great job filling those deficiencies.

I understand the reasoning but I hope they are certain of getting those other guys because it would be painful to keep these guys waiting so long that they find somewhere else to go...I trust the staff though

was that really jawuan posting on here as mister or was it another bwillis poser i really dont know?

You guys have have seen this in another thread but thought I'd add it here:

Shon Coleman and Damien Robinson Quarles comment: "I don't know all these offensive linemen because we have a great line coach, and I kind of leave them alone. Both these kids from Olive Branch (MS) have been really impressive and you can tell how well coached both of them are."

Tennessee Vols Recruiting - Quarles Take: East Linemen

Think I read somewhere that he grew up a Vols fan. Now that the circus has left town, we might actually be in a better position to gain his services for 4 years.

I think we have a real good shot at Robinson, but Coleman is a fantasy. I will say this, if I could have one guy on our entire board right now, it would be between Ahmad Dixon, Corey Lemonier and Shon Coleman.

out of that trio, you have to take Coleman. we aren't in a position to turn away a 5star OL...

1. Coleman
2. Robinson
3. Lemonier
4. Dixon

I hope Coleman and Robinson are buddies and each could be swayed to UT. Man, add these two to J. James, Fulton, and co., that would be a pretty impressive OL haul in my estimation.
